Of the 6 houses in my immediate vicinity, we are 1 Vaper and 1 non-smoker/vaper. (My goody goody 2 shoes wife.) 2 houses are non-smoking/vaping. One houses is 1 smoker and 1 non-smoker. One house is 1 Vaper and 1 Smoker. And one house has 2 Vapers. I know that the Smokers buy their fags at the local shop as I see them there. The Vapers buy their paraphernalia at Brick & Mortar Shops in Glasgow and Paisley. Me? Well I have enough stashed away that it will be years before I have to go out to buy anything. My main point is that originally I had to find a Forum to get the information I needed to buy the equipment and chemicals to further my knowledge and purchase my stuff online. But of the rest of Vapers in my vicinity, they buy all their stuff in B&M Shops and whilst they know about AAE-C, as far as I know, non of them have joined our, or any other E-cig related online group. So while E-cig related Forums will still be around for many years to come, the necessity for them for finding out what is available seem to be overtaken by B&M Shops and folks are using them rather than going online. I guess people like to handle and perhaps use the equipment before they buy.

This is an interesting topic!
Vaping is now "mainstream" and apart from new inventions that make it easier and better for users to experiment with, most people have found their preferred vaping equipment have no need to go looking for a new experiences.
However, Vaping, good as it is for us, it is still very much in the minority in our Nicotine demanding world. Those who now switch from Smoking to Vaping, do so before they join a Forum and start to search for more information.
So not only has AAE-C slowed down a pace, but the whole momentum of new members who are "finding" this new and safer method of getting their Nicotine Fix, also becoming fewer. IE, Those who have tried Vaping, but still continue to Smoke are still in the majority. That is where our continued growth will come from, but how to persuade them to give Vaping a proper go? Well that is the question!!!!

Just remember Edge It's not Smoking or Vaping that you are giving up, it's Nicotine and that can hang around for a long time, just waiting to bite you in the ass when you are least expecting it. So keep something with you, be it Nicorette spray or chewing gum, just to get you through any hic-cup.

Hi Edge I don't know if you Smoked before you changed to Vaping, but I presume you did. I Smoked for 49 years and during that time, I tried to quit many times. Indeed in the last 15 years I tried every known method, pills and even Acupuncture, but nothing worked full time. The longest I remained smoke free was 18 months, but in the end I was back on the stinkies. Fortunately through a non Smoking/Vaping site I found out about Ecigs and within a month I had switched to 100% Vaping and I have not had a stinky since. That was over 5 years ago. I applaud your quest to go Smoke/Vape Free, however if I was trying to do the same I would hang on to my equipment for a great deal longer than a couple of months. Indeed, going my own experience, I would be keeping my gear for at least 2 years. It might not be worth a lot by then, but it will be a bloody sight cheaper than having to buy it all again if you decide that you would be happier Vaping.

>>> but have never felt the need to keep one by the bed, but then I never smoked upstairs or even in the house at all so I don't feel the need to keep one up there. <<< Hi TJ Surely how or where one chooses to vape is through choice, not need.

I have 5 ecigs made up with different flavours and scattered through the house and shed. Changing flavours is simply a matter of picking up whatever happens to be at hand, however as my main one is on a lanyard around my neck, that is the one that I use most often. Only when it is on charge and I am going to bed, then the Menthol one on the bedside table becomes the mainstay. The rest will get "sooked" for a minute two, now and then, but are more usually used during the summer months when I am sunbathing on the deck under the blazing hot weather???????

In 49 years of smoking, I cannot mind anytime changing my brands just to get a different flavour.
In vaping I tend to stick with just 2 flavours during the winter, Royal, a smooth tobacco all day vape and Mint & Menthol just before bed. During the summer on the odd hot days I will use some apple, or citrus, or lime.
I have 30 or 40 flavours that I have not tried and probably never will, because what I have and do use I am more than happy with.

For yous sassenachs amongst us, my preferred tipple at New Year is Highland Spring. It is a subtle "brew" and is the basis for Whisky and other distilled abominations. It comes in 2 distinct forms, Still and Sparkling and it is, ofcourse, Water!!!!! Have a great Vaping Year!!!!!!

A Happy New Year from Bonnie Argyll.
And we celebrated it with a bottle of Highland Spring.

My work-load, time of the week, my mood, the weather etc etc, changes the daily amount I get through vaping.
So any estimation had to be worked out over a period. I make up my main e-juices to go into 100ml bottles and I further decant that into 30ml, squeezey bottles that have a spout on them. It is the length of time that I use to get through one 30ml bottle that I work out my daily usage.
So far each 30ml bottle lasts for 14 days, so 14 into 30 = 2.14ml per days.

In the Printing Trade, where I served my apprenticeship, the last person to get into work on the last day of the year, was known as SKITERY WINTER for the remainder of the year.

Thank you all. I will order some in the New Year.
This Spearmint I mix with Menthol to give me a refreshing vape just before bed.
A 30ml bottle of made up juice will last me about 6 months.
