Oh, and b.t.w. I got my first atomiser today and shan't be using it for anything other than trying out liquids. I loaded up a cart with it and took it in the car on a LONG errand. It was dry in under 50 puffs. That's already decided in my mind that a 3 piece arrangement isn't for me. (I wish someone had told me that cart ridges only hold half as much as cart omisers  ) Buy a kit with either cartomisers or a "tank/clearomiser". Mini nova will be your friend |

Sorry B & E but I've only got one nova and one nova mini and I'm using those for Shire Malt and Long Bottom Leaf from epipemods. the two tobacco extract liquids I'm using at the moment are in CE4's (2.2 ohm) on ego minis or VH-E2 so more or less the same as your Riva and they are pretty good the walnut and honey is fairly close to a pipe tobacco. Thanks for the info regarding the Kangers I've never tried them but think I will. Dave The kanger was just a fresh cart to try and it blew me away literally  I have standard Boge's as well so i'm about to fill that up and try. It's just that carts have there place on the Riva 1100's |

What are you vaping it in  Started using my tester yesterday 200ml of Le Frog-gods Walnut honey tobac 15mg and still have 140ml of concentrate left  but it don't like me mini Novas. Started on a standard 1.8 head but kept getting that burnt taste and the amount i had to reduce the voltage on the Provari just killed the vape. I am currently trying the 2.8 head which is better and when that juice is finished i will try the 2.4 as all have different wicks. I have just filled a fresh Kanger cart LR bottom coil and stuck it on my riva 1100 with measured voltage of 3.8v and 2.1 ohm cart. Well, blow me ruddy socks off cause if i didn't know any better i would swear i'd just had a puff and not a vape ??? how different that is compared to the Novas is unbelievable and left me with a body shudder I want to get a Nova wick, coil sorted for this so anyone using Novas that could help because i don't like putting carts on the Provari due to bottom leakage.  |

Started the leaf yesterday (full tester) and chopped up everything in there the old fashioned way with a big carving knife and Chef Egg was at work.  With the full leaf I went for 100ml VG 10ml PG 16ml Smurf's and it looked like this  And after heating like this.  Let it cool down, clinged it and left for 24hr. This is after 24hr  prety much the same consistency. At this stage I mixed in 10ml of VG and put back in some boiling water and settled on putting it straight into a 60ml (50ml) syringe thinking it would push through the large hole but i was wrong. So, outcomes the tea strainer and after a bit of mess, spillage and faffing about i got 80ml juice but had ran out of containers for further filtering because none have been delivered yet so i transfered into a wine glass. I picked the wine glass of choice because it had a dimple in the bottom and thought that would be easier to get the juice out, so of it went into the cupboard (A dark brown liquid) not like an earlier post picture i had seen so god knows what it's going to be like although it would swish and swirl ok. Cleaned up and got the dinner sorted (great crackling on my behalf as always) and proceeded to do the next stage of filtering. Once all the big bits were out I remember'd something Le Frog-God said about backy filters and being a pain in the arse because of the 1ml syringe so i come up with this.  I then thought about it and as an after thought because i was expecting the filter to be pushed out i inserted a needle through the syringe and when it did push through i was going to have some filter showing so the needle was through the filter making less force. Off i went to the cupboard picked up the wine glass of dark brown stuff and give a swirl and bit of a sniff as you do. And the RUDDY glass slipped out of my hand, smashed everywhere landed right next to my phone, laptop and camera and covered the whole kitchen. An hour passed cleaning and thankfully nothing damaged other than my pride, even the other half felt sorry for me but i think that's because she had loads of crackling on her dinner. Gonna order a new tester now but i have some ideas how to do it a better way and what is needed so more to follow....................... Part two, eventually  Started the leaf again Monday and there seamed to be more in there this time so I increased the vg to 110ml as it seemed a bit dry and kept everything else the same to bring to what I remember as about the same consistency as my previous attempt. Earlier today I done the second stage and added 25ml vg before it went in the pan and Mixing swirling squishing squashing for 10mins i still thought it was very dry and was not sure what quantity I was going to get. I purchased the other half a Potato riser but was worried about the juice escaping through to the top but actually this was a blessing in disguise with the muslin (or a pair of tights) My gerths were used and deemed a bit fishy so I stuck with the Muslin Cut up some Muslin and pressed into the riser enough to be able to fold over and twist the top to seal the creation what was before me. This is when the leakage from the top of the riser occurred as expected but it turned out better than just a bottom press because although juice was coming out the bottom it was also coming out the top at the same rate and held there so all I had to do was tilt it into the funnel Great. Give it a good squeeze and made sure nothing else was coming out of there. Once into the jar I got 125ml of dark brown liquid and lid was on sealed tight whilst i cleaned up and took a couple of snaps for you to see and get the jist of the utensils i used.   The remains in the muslin was as hard as a supermarket burger and no residue was left onto the surface whilst it was standing so I knew it was all i would get out. There was no mess although you could do with a second pair of hands whilst you are filling the riser but I actually chocked the handle open praying it wern't going to topple but other than that it's a second filtering although it looks pretty good at the moment I will do it anyway. You have to remember the Stevia concentrate is mixed by you so all strengths will be different. Mine is mixed at 16ml pg and 4ml Stevia so pretty strong and looking at the amount i have used it will last forever. |

I take your point Rogerh, but perhaps I will just get the 500ml firstly and then, with a bit more confidence, go for the litre. Losing 500ml in a customs clampdown would be bad, but losing a litre and she who must be obeyed would have a hairy fit!!! You had all the answers a month ago I'd hate to be your partner Order it from where you have been advised I got a 500ml vg base and 500ml pg base 50mg (one litre) cheaper than I could buy 250ml delivered over here on a quick search may i add. No extras to pay, duty etc it was just delivered and signed for. It may take a good week and a bit to get to you and you won't be able to track it either so don't worry about that. |

Just thought I'd post a ramble about a couple of mixes I've played with. A while ago Perps put me onto Vip Vapors in the USA who do flavorings (sic) www.vipvaporcig.comTheir coffee and the cake mix are really nice. I also got some of the 'Honeywood Tobacco' to try. This tastes like you think a really dark, almost black honey would taste and is quite strong. I made 10ml of 20mg and added only 6 drops of HW, wow! too strong for me, so I mixed 10ml of unflavoured and mixed the 2 together. Still quite strong, but nice. Thought I'd have a play, so took 5ml out and added some CCW lemon, nice, just like a Locket. Took another 5ml out, added some lemon and also a few drops of Whisky flavour. A wonderful hot toddy vape! I won't try to say how much of each flavour I added, cos everyone's taste is different, just make up your base mix, add a few drops of the HW to taste, then the same with the lemon and whisky if required. Nothing goes down the sink in this house, a dreg from here a dreg from there makes magic potions |
