I haven't tried the Cartomisers, just jumped straight in and filled up the other thing....
I'll get the hang of the terminology at some point lol!

I have the choice of 1.8 and 2.8 so the 2.8 would be the one to go for?

evening all, our Rivas arrived yesterday Wow, what a difference, I am very impressed and still going on the first battery charge! So, I am now needing to buy some clearomisers (that's the clear bit for the liquid?) and I have had a look on vape escape and spotted some that come in a variety of colours and also 2 ohms. My rapidly fading memory from science lessons is that ohms are resistance but whats the difference between the two? I'm on my iPad so can't seem to do a link but was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? thanks

I did say one of the reason for not going! The other reason is a full blown dental phobia but unfortunately I have a rather yucky wisdom tooth that really needs pulled and I did break a tooth last Christmas on a rather tasty thorntons toffee!
I also have a phobia about flying so might borrow one of my flying diazepan for when I get my tooth pulled next month but thats another story......

Had my first visit to the dentist today! This is big news as I haven't been for several years and one of the reasons for this was I was always getting the "smoking is bad for your teeth" lecture. As if it wasn't obvious........
So, had my first appointment with the dentist and told her I used to smoke but don't anymore and she said, ok let's get rid of the evidence and ten minutes later, I have WHITE teeth!
I didn't realise how un-white they had been so that's me happy today and very smilie!

Once I get the kit organised and just start buying spares, I am going to save the £40 a week previously spend on baccy/papers etc and book myself an extra holiday with the "free" cash!
Well that's the plan anyway unless I do something boring and very MSE like overpaying the mortgage!

Thanks for all your replies so far.
I do like the Riva kit and £35 isn't a lot compared to the price of fags so just before i buy it, could someone give me an idea what the battery life is like?

Hi again, I have been using my Skycig now for three weeks and have got to the end of my tether with the batteries! Please could I ask for some suggestions to upgrade to something that has a better battery life? I have lots of cartos and liquid but am willing to buy something that isn't 510 compatible if needs be. Than you

Hi, the batteries have been okay for me through the week as I'm not using it a lot. Between working office hours and only using it on the sly when my son is about its been lasting 2 days. I have been home alone this weekend and not up to much so been using it a lot more and suddenly realised how quickly I can get through a Cartomisers.
I suspect I will upgrade at some point though once I get to the point that I can say I have had my money's worth out of the sky cig.

So, here we are less than a week later and I'm wondering about buying some empty cartridges and juice! It didn't take me long to change my mind about the pre-filled ones!
Can I just ask what I need to buy to use alongside my sky cig?
Is is just empty Cartomisers (as shown on vapeescape link a few posts up) and whatever juice I fancy? Is there anything else I should get?
I'm happy to buy the Cartomisers that are designed to be refilled rather than trying to break into the sky cig ones.

Thanks for your warm welcomes, this is such a friendly forum (unlike many on this interweb thing!)
I'll have a look at the cartridges/juice links that you have posted, I must admit to fancying the pre-filled ones just for ease rather than re-filling but who knows, I might change my mind further down the line.
I have just been and washed out our (hubby and I) ashtrays and put them away in a cupboard as we aren't quite ready to throw everything out (yet!) but I'm hoping it won't be too long before I have a clear out of everything smoke related.
And, yes Karma, I bought 2 of the kits at the reduced price, about £15 ish but I suppose being born and bred in Scotland means money saving comes naturally!
