Have a look here www.flavourart.co.uk/The bite Xtra is supposed to be good and may give you that extra umph. I just had a look at that - looks good. I will have a read and try and sort a couple out. Thank you. Graham

Thank you to everyone of you who has replied, just this has helped me calm down over it a bit. My OH and me are very close and I could talk this through with her without a problem - that's why I said she would go berzerk if she found out - not because I bought some fags but because I didn't say anything to her, she would much prefer that - and then go berserk. Beautycat, I think you're right to a certain extent, because I'm hiding the issue then I feel like when I was kid smoking behind my parent back and half of the enjoyment of smoking then was just that!! I guess that smoking 2-3 a day for me is not that bad considering what I was smoking a day before I started vaping but 2-3 a day is 2-3 too many in my book and I've got to knock it on the head somehow. Vaping satisfies me to a certain point and I also really enjoy it, I prefer the tastes I've got now too and this is what I don't understand. Why am I still getting this desire (not sure that is the correct word) to smoke when it doesn't taste as good but it does somehow just seem right. When I smoke then I can really feel that I'm inhaling something and it's doing something but when I vape, I'm just not getting that same feeling from my lungs. There's loads of vapour when I exhale, as much vapour as smoke but not the same feeling - does that make sense?

Graham don't beat yourself up, the saying is-think how many you have avoided, not smoked Maybe you need a better or bigger battery and atty? What are you using? I'm using all sorts Sandra, Clearomisers, pre filled carts, non pre filled carts, passthroughs, SD and a Riva 1100 batteries. Juices are either 18 or 24mg mainly all tobacco flavour and also some menthol. Are there higher than 24mg juices available or is that not the way to go? Graham

I'm really disappointed with myself but in another strange way, I'm not. I'm very confused at the moment.
On Wednesday lunchtime I had such a strong urge to have a real smoke and I sat in the car park in the hope that having some 24mg would help me through it but it didn't. I made the decision and bought 20 JPS Blacks and sat back in the car and chain smoked 3. It felt so good but I felt terrible in the fact of what I had just done.
I am now back to smoking 3 a day, one in the morning, one at lunchtime and one on the way home, if my wife found out (who has also given up a week after me) then she will go berserk. I really, really don't want to start smoking again after being so successful so far - what on earth has happened and what can I do? I need some help and advice here people. :-(
I can't really smoke at the weekend as we are both together most of the time so this weekend will be interesting to say the least. I have been vaping all the time since I got up this morning and it seems to be OK at the moment with no real desire to smoke yet, I just hope that it lasts. I've got all my batteries charged, plenty of juices and all carts full and ready to use so that I should have no need to smoke.
I just went to preview this post and saw my sig pic at the bottom showing me how much I've saved (I've actually got £300 in cash saved in a box) and that's made me feel even worse as I feel like a cheat. Arrrrrgh!!
Sorry about the sob story!

I can relate very much to that, started young at 8 and finished when I was old at 63 and like you have been saving every week. I put £50 cash in my "Rewards" box each week and the weekend before last I opened it up to put another £50 in to make it £200 (Only been vaping for the last four weeks) and thought it would be a good idea to take a pic of it on my phone as a further reminder if I ever start getting the old feeling of buying a packet of fags. Last Sunday, in went another £50 and this Sunday will be another £50 bringing it up to £300. I have already booked our holiday to Madeira next year for 2 weeks which will all be paid for by not setting light to some old dried up leaves and breathing the smoke in, how cool is that!! Loads of other benefits too like health etc but when you can physically see the savings (that's why I don't put it in the bank) it makes it seem so much real. Graham

Hi addict, I won't give you any more advice on what to get as I think it may confuse the issue but just to say that I had the same mentality as you before starting to vape. Because I has a very heavy smoker ( more than what you smoke a day and probably for a lot longer too) and I just didn't think that a e-cigarette would cut it for me - how wrong I was!!
Like you, I wanted to still feel as if I was smoking but not and the biggest thing that worried me when I look back was the Nicotine hit - or the lack of it, would I have enough.
I started off with the one's you buy in Tescos etc but within a couple of days being on here I had bought a Riva and started on 18mg Nicotine juices which after a while I found that I was vaping this stuff virtually all day long, I then changed to 24mg Nicotine and that was much better.
I went from 60+ a day (sometimes 80 at weekends) to zero 4 weeks ago today. If someone had said to me that that was going to happen then I just wouldn't have believed them but it did. I still can't believe that I gave up something that I thought I really loved and needed virtually overnight when everything else had failed but I did. I actually enjoy vaping now more so than I did smoking strange as it may sound.
Oh, and don't worry if like me, you fancy a real smoke a week or so later - I did and as I still had an 'Emergency' pack still at hand I took one out and lit it up - it tasted really horrible and I just kept asking myself how on earth did I smoke at least 60 of those a day and for so long.
You're probably not going to get the right tasting juice for you straight away unless you're lucky but if like others have said you get some different flavoured tobacco and either 18 or 24mg then you won't be too far off the mark. I have about 5 - 6 batteries always charged up and plenty of my favourite juices (always tobacco flavoured) so I'm never without and that simple set-up satisfies my needs at the moment, I might go for the more exotic stuff a bit later on but at only 4 weeks into vaping then I'm quite happy with what I have .
Good luck in whatever you decide on getting and let us know how you get on.
Graham

Blimey, that's virtually identical to me too!! I've yet to get to the VV stage yet but no doubt that will be the next stage although I have to say that I'm quite happy with the kit I've got at the moment with the SD Keyring maxi being my favourite for evening vaping and the various ciggy looky likies for driving etc. I keep looking at all the lovely shiny, shiny things and must admit that I've been tempted several times but always refrained in the end, but one day though I'm sure I will press that BUY button. I just looked at my sig pic and it shows that I've avoided 660 cigarettes since I quit, so 659 avoided is better than none. Can't believe that - 660 fags not smoked, I really don't feel guilty now. And I've been putting £50 away each Sunday and now have £200 in my 'Reward' box and that's a major incentive to keep going. Graham

I've always felt that we smokers have an emotional attachment to cigs, as well as the physical dependency on the nicotine fix Graham . . . almost like saying goodbye to a bad relationship, a part of you ( me anyway ) still wanted to cling to the past, because it's familiar . . . . Good to hear you've put it behind you. I've put that episode behind me but as you quite rightly say, long term smokers like me (and many others) have a long way to go to let smoking go in such a short time - if at all. I've been smoking since I was 8 and I'm now 63 so smoking really is pretty much all that I've known as I can't remember too much before I was 8 years old without a cigarette so smoking has been a way of life for me. I'm sure I will get over it as I want to but it isn't going to be easy but I knew that when I started quiting smoking and started vaping. I'm under no illusion that just vaping is going to stop me smoking by itself, for me it's got to be a combination of several things including the mind set but I'm determined to get there. Graham

Well that response has made me feel so much better, thanks pepes for the support - I really needed that. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that this has happened to and that it's not unusual - not that I'm going to make that an excuse and light up at every opportunity though! Silly thing is that I didn't even like the taste - which is a good thing. Onwards and upwards as they say. Graham

I think you could be right because I didn't smoke it all, probably about half and then through it out the window, mainly because as you said, it tasted crap. I immediately got my Riva out and took a couple of big drags and I was back to normal again and loving every second of it.
Hopefully it was just curiosity.

...and had a cigarette. I had to go out lunchtime and for some inexplicable reason I had this overwhelming desire to have a smoke, I still had the old packet of fags left in my car which I haven't touched for three weeks and lit one up. I felt really bad about it and still do tonight, I'm vaping away now and have no desire at all for another cigarette but I just don't know why this incredibly strong feeling came over me after three weeks without them. I really don't want to start smoking again and I'm sure I won't but it just kind of shocked me at how strong this was and how incredibly quick it came on. Has this happened to anyone else? Graham

I just thought that I'd keep you guys up to speed on how I'm getting on with my new pass through batteries. They're still blooming great! They are so convenient and very cigarette like especially with the carto's I'm using, they produce about the same amount of vapour as the smoke from a cigarette so are very satisfying and an excellent substitute for smoking which is exactly what I want right now. I'm using just bog standard B&H flavour with the occasional menthol now and again, perfect. I've also been using my Riva 1100 with Silky juice as well just to ring the changes but I mainly use the pass throughs especially when I'm driving. So all in all, for me then it's turned out to be a very successful combination and I'm really happy with this set up. Happy vaping folks! Graham

Think they just named it LT to get more google hits Glad your happy vapourized, all at your own pace,we all have our own preferences, none right none wrong Absolutely, and that's the key. Take advice, try it and if that doesn't work for you then try something else until it does. When we smoked, we would all smoke different brands, smoke at certain times of the day, certain events as in after a meal or a pint and even down to the way we held our cigarettes. As you quite rightly said, every one is different. Graham
