And it's here! First impressions - not as big as I expected, but plenty big for me. I can only use it in 18650 mode at the moment, but will be ordering a pair of 18350s to use in short mode, probably after Christmas. Feels solid, well built, heavy, good quality. I like its cute "face" The black chrome finish is dead sexy, but very much a fingerprint magnet. I'm not getting any battery rattle with an Efest 2000mAh IMR 18650 battery, but the buttons do rattle a little when I shake it. Doesn't bother me. It's a little slippey to hold. The black chrome finish is very fragile - I'd been using mine about half an hour and it already had several tiny scratches from my wedding and engagement rings. I don't mind too much - I already knew I'd be wearing the finish off sooner than most due to having "hot hands" (I strip the plating off sewing needles in no time, and can't make pastry). I'll probably end up covering it with carbon fibre vinyl when it gets too bashed up, or strip it and send it for powder coating. Getting it set to RMS mode and wattage mode was easy and quick, due more to the info on this thread than the Chinglish manual included in my parcel (but not in the Vamo's actual packaging). I have to say though that the manual isn't as difficult to decipher as many other manuals I have read (especially the Xtar's, which should win an award for obfuscation!) and is actually pretty good, and at least I got one. The blue screen is nice and bright and very easy to read. It's odd not to have something light up when firing, but I'll get used to it. All three buttons have a nice positive "click" feeling to them but aren't too loud. The atty resistance checker is odd. I have a recoiled CE5 that was around 2.5 ohms when I coiled it. When I first put it on the Vamo it read 5.7 ohms - after use it became 2.3. I started vaping it, filled with The Alchemist's Blackcurrant & Licorice, at 7 watts and got that horrid burnt toast taste. Dropped it to 5 and fine, upped in .5 increments back to 7 and still fine. It's like it needs firing to get the actual resistance, the first firing it thinks the resistance is much higher than it really is and so pushes more power through than is required, hence the burnt taste... I think I can live with this for now, but it's an oddity I hadn't heard of before so thought it worth mentioning. I can tell that I'm getting more flavour with the Vamo than with the Twist, how much more I'm not sure as I have a really rotten cold at the moment and can't smell or taste much. I'm not getting any problems with the draw on a skirted CE5, I had read that a skirted device can block the airflow and make the draw tight but I'm not finding this at all. I had originally planned to test all my lovely new juices (from Alchemist, Health E Vape and Vapour Juice) on the Vamo using the Phoenix atty I also bought from VaporBreak, but I've decided to wait til my sense of smell/taste returns. Instead, I've tried all my current vapes in their current devices (all rebuildable CE5s or mini Vivi Novas) and they all seem better than the Egos or Twists I was already using. I am tweaking the wattage when changing juices as some do better at higher or lower settings, but this only takes a few clicks of the + or - buttons. All in all, I'm very happy with the Vamo (now nicknamed The Big Beastie), especially for the price. I bought the Vamo, 2 Vivi Novas, 2 CE5s (NOT the same as my other CE5s), a Phoenix atty, 200ml of juice and an ego case for £55 delivered, which is amazing. Delivery took 11 days from order to my door. I'll definitely be ordering from VaporBreak again. ETA - I am definitely getting more nic out of my juices using the Vamo. I don't know why this would be, but my 12mg juices are now making me a slightly dizzy Dizzi. Going to have to reduce my nic content - which is great as it will make my DIY stuff even cheaper!

Finally managed to get a working tracking site and my Vamo apparently arrived in the UK on Wednesday evening - so maybe I'll have it delivered tomorrow (later today now - must go to bed!). Hopefully my Nova tanks and blingy drip tips will turn up as well. Can't wait! Thanks again to Robby for finding this huge bargain, and for working behind the scenes to keep us informed of issues with the site etc. Robby, you are a hero! SS version will be hubby's birthday pressie (to go with his Argento Midi I got him for Christmas) if Min gets 'em in next week...

Hey honey, you are so welcome! Glad you're doing so well - it's easier than you thought, huh? Now get those decs out and up, and then when you're done with that have a good long vape on your own made juice. Feel good? Merry Christmas!

ETA Basil flavouring... can't find any, but you could always make your own, in the same way as people make tobacco steeps? Steep crushed basil leaves in PG for a bit, then filter, refilter and filter some more... would this work with vodka as a mix ? answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100528184935AAKJeKuI don't see why not, alcohol (usually vodka) is often used to thin VG so you could give it a try?

i tried to prise up the pin a bit and there seems to be some juice in there ill let it dry out seems that could be what the problem was thanks for the offer colliwobbles that was very kind Gordy, the juice doesn't dry out on its own - you need to remove it. I use cotton buds and finish off with an alcohol wipe ( the same ones I use to clean my glasses).

Either Ashmal (yay, good to see another Nails fan round these parts!). You'd only really get menthol if you added menthol, maybe just a little drop of peppermint and see how you get on?

I am very cavalier about mine, I don't even use gloves... It's honestly not that bad Ratfinkz, if you dumped the whole bottle into your lap that would be a problem, but a little drop of 5.4%, nah.
ETA Cos I can't speel

Addict, you are too lovely for words. I'll keep the baccy ready-mades here for now, let me know if/when you want 'em. A couple of them are Froggie's...
As to the questions:
1. Yes. Your PG/VG ratios and nic levels will change a little depending on how much flavouring you use, but if you make your base a little higher in nic than you want, and a little higher in VG as well, small changes probably won't hurt anything. Make a batch assuming you'll be using 20% flavouring - if you don't use that much you can always add a little more PG to compensate, and if you use more you can always add another few drops of your max strength nic.
2. Bottle caps. Hmmmm. Boiling them might damage them. How about Milton? Used for sterilising baby bottles, and you don't need to rinse it off if you use it at the strength recommended. Your local Boots or pharmacy should sell it. Don't use it on anything metal though. Another possibility would be the steriliser beer/wine makers use for their bottles and equipment, also available at Boots I think - larger stores, anyway. That does need rinsing though.

Well done Ratfinkz! #icon_bravo#
Stevia will hopefully be on its way either today or tomorrow, you should have by the middle of next week.

Yay, well done Addict! What did you mix? Was it Froggie's recipe? I'm hoping to get some bits in the post to you soon, was going to be today but the weather here is so awful I can't get to the post office - either tomorrow or Monday will be the day

Balllsy, why not decant say 10ml, bung in say 4 drops (I use about 4 drops of my homemade per 10 ml), give it a really good shake and try it. That way if it's too sweet, you can dilute the sweet 10ml (all or some) with the non-sweet 20ml, if it's not sweet enough add another drop (and so on as required), if it's just right you know to add another 8 drops to the rest. Clear as mud?

Yes it will fit an ego, and the drip tip fits into the top of the atty. All will be clear when you get it - and if it's not, ask!
ETA - try this

It does it automatically, when someone posts in a thread the flashing NEW sign shows up next to that thread for anyone who hasn't yet read the new post. The NEW won't show up for the person who posted the new post though, as they have already read it.

Still waiting for my black chrome version - got two Efest IMR 18650s fully charged and in their safety box, a bunch of juices steeped and ready to go and metal tubes & drip tips to bling up the Vivi Novas on their way... Some people who ordered the same time I did (4th December) have already received theirs, my shipping notification wasn't received til 8th December though soI guess I have a couple of days or so still to wait. Getting itchy now, I want my Vamo!
