The brainless berks who drew up "Refill without leakage" without doing any research have never used an ecig. Q: Where do most leaks occur? A: The airholes.

Another for the Hcigar DNA40, had one for a couple of months and it's a great little device. The one thing I've had to do to it is to smear a bit of silicone adhesive round the plaggy slot covering the electronics, being paranoid since slow-leaking mods destroyed my Vaporshark ages ago (yeah, I check for leaks inside mods religiously now, mea culpa). Otherwise it performs very well indeed.

This bit will damage the industry, which is so innovative, a 6 month wait while the MHRA hums and has over an application :
That's every mod, every tank, having to be submitted for review 6 months before sale, assuming the notoriously anti-ecig MHRA is minded to pass it.

So. Being the kind of loose-cannon guy who isn't bound by the rules (like the Veet guy) I went ahead and ordered some 0.3 Titanium wire, Grade A, from CrazyWire. A company that's been reliable and dependable in the past. What could go wrong? I had also taken the liberty of getting a eVIC-T to try it out on, though the guys over at ecf were having results with a DNA40, typically running it at 100F less than the equivalent Ni ohmage. Better safe than singed. First though the wire had to be cleaned, even as it appeared shiny silver, the modus operandi is to clean it with isopropyl and then a wire brush (or, in this case, a Brillo pad) to get rid of any and all impurities and excess Ni02 that may form. That done, on to the wicking, on an eVIC CLR, the optional rebuildable. Ti is really springy compared to Ni or Kanthal, and after winding 8 times on a bolt and threading it into the CLR, it was close to the edges of the atty, but clear. ecf recommend pulsing it at a low temperature to turn the colour to yellow or blue, which supposedly forms a protective layer of Ni02 which is strongly adhesive to the base metal. I figured with a bit of heating it could also be squeezed with the ceramic tweezers. So onto the eVIC it went. Temperature control, Ti, 200F (the lowest possible). Pressed the fire button. Peering at the coil, it wasn't visibly heating up or changing colour, so I cranked the temperature up to 300F, 20W, and had another go. FLASH. There was a silent explosion of light, just like a camera flashbulb in your face, it was that bright. The atty resistance re-registered at 0 ohms. Instant hot spot, instant ignition. Quite frit me up did that. It's very different from the red melting you see on a Kanthal/Ni wire when it has a short, no warning there's a short in place, just FLASH and gone. I hate to imagine what could happen if it had been a higher voltage and temperature; heating the surrounding coil enough to carry the short to a fire? Maybe not. But it's put me off the CLR for now.

"Day 2 in the Evic-VT house." The battery was run down 50% from using it, and seeing Dave Dorn quoth 'It took 6 hours to charge to full' (from empty) it seemed prudent to plug in the wallwart and let it simmer. About 2 hours later the battery light is blinking like a good'n. Full charge. So off came the wallwart, and a full battery shows. Time for a toot; and blimey, the battery meter is now showing 80-85% charge, after one (1) drag. Shome mistake shurley?

I'm pretty much a full time mouth only inhaler, though occasionally will do a mouth-lung. Goes back to my smoking days when I'd blow out more smoke than inhaled. Big lung inhales, especially warm vape, give me a cough and spots before the eyes

Pineapple juice in the new Evic-VT. Rather good, but look at the ingredients list. Reads like a cold treatment (though they're food additives) It is good to see an ingredients list on a juice. VG PG Vanilla extract Linalool 2.5-Dimethylpyrazine 2-Avcetylpyra

A sad story of one vendor forced to leave his home town due to swivel-eyed loons in the State Legislature, who are banning online sales. Source : here.

Good old RM, VT arrived this morning forcing me out of bed with a honking hangover. First impressions.
It's ... weighty. Obviously due to the batteries. Mine is in black to match, well, every other mod I use. The condom is a nice touch, and went right on as every atty seems to leak a little with repeated use. The stock atomizer looks very nice on it, and is simple to fill.
The control system is different, but easy to get used to. 5 clicks on/off. 3 clicks, wiggle the wheel left (facing the mod) to switch mode/power/atty lock on-off/battery-puff count (redundant feature for me)-use time (see puff count). Right wheel to switch settings. Fire to exit.
Changed the atty to the supplied Ti, yes despite my continued reservations on titanium, to give it a try. This was interesting. The device sensed the new coil, but rated it at 0.23 ohms. I wasn't aware at the time that the Ti coil was ~0.4 ohms. Dab of juice into the coil, fire... immediate TC (at 450F) kicked in, no juice production, pushing 5W then TC right away. Atty removed, fired the mod sans atomizer a few times, refitted it... new coil message... 0.23 ohms. Something wasn't right.
A webcheck later and finding out the Ti resistance rating, the fix required was : bunging a Ni coil (the Subtank) onto the VT, in Ni mode and firing it, THEN refitting the Mega in Ti mode and in it came at 0.42 ohms.
So having run it since (a couple of hours ago) at 470F, half-open airflow, 40W, it's performing. Good production of vapour, and in mouth inhale mode with a mix of strawberry and unflavoured juice the taste is definitely there. The airflow is very good through the stock atomiser, turning the air control up and down dramatically changes the experience, low setting with mouth to lung works (for me) as well. I do prefer a slightly airy vape, not a warm one, and usually mouth inhale (stop laughing at the back there).
I haven't yet tried it with a Subtank, that'll be a separate experience side by side with a DNA40 mod. Ti safety (Ti02) notwithstanding, it's not a shabby mod at all. IMHO.

Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney were touring the world after the success of 'Ebony and Ivory'. On one occasion, the tour managers screwed up, booking the whole entourage into a tiny hotel in Gnatsass, Tennessee. Stevie and Paul were forced to share a room. After an exhausting gig, they retired to the one room allocated to them both, thankfully both had a single bed.
Paul sat up a while, reading. Within half an hour Stevie called out "Eh Paul, is the light out yet mate?" "No Stevie, I'm reading, sorry about that." "No worries, tell me when it's out."
20 minutes later. Paul was engrossed in the book. "Paul, you turned the light out yet?" "Um... no mate, still reading."
20 minutes pass. The novel takes twists and turns. "PAUL! Have you turned the light off yet!" Paul sighs inwardly and thinks... hang on, it's Stevie. "Eh, yes mate, just done it."
