At that price I think I may be tempted into buying the shiney thing. And I told myself I wouldn't get drawn into buying shiney things. Sigh Is everyone happy with what they've received? Is it as good as buying from a UK vendor? Longer shipping time obviously, but I don't mind if it saves loads of money. Mmmmm shiney

I got a couple of CE5s in the vapemail on Thursday. May have to send them both back. One of them definitely leaks, as confirmed by the little puddle of ejuice on my dressing table after leaving the wicks to soak before I tried it. Not sure about the other one. It's working OK (also with Grant's, mmmmmm!), but it's wonky inside - looks like the leaning tower of Piza in there, and when the tip's screwed in it only just covers the top of the atty. I think I'll send 'em both back, along with the spare coils I got, and just get myself a mini Nova. A purple one.

Hi Doc, and welcome to a whole new world! Some great advice (as always) from other members, and I hope it helps you to choose. I wish I'd found this forum before I bought my first kit, I could have saved myself a fortune and ended up with something better, but not to worry because vaping has definitely been a revelation however I started. It'll be 4 weeks on Saturday since I took my very first vape and I've not touched a stinky horrible roll-up since. Once you get your sense of smell & taste back I reckon you'll be more likely to want to get away from the tobacco flavours - they're 'orrible! I was an Amber Leaf roller, and now I vape with mostly dessert flavours - vanilla custard, choccy nutty fantastic (tastes like Snickers), coconut ice and others. I've also got a few fruit flavours. When you're ready to give it a go find a vendor that does a pick n mix so you can buy a few in smaller quantities, and don't forget to use the discount codes. Good luck!

I'm hoping mine arrives tomorrow - went for delivery to work so I don't have to pick up from the depot, but I'm off on Friday. Fingers crossed! Edit: just noticed in my banner than I've now avoided 300 cigs. Woohoo!!!

(( Hmm, I think you are just being nice, which is, nice, of course, but while I think it's possible they WROTE passable English, I am absolutely positive they didn't SPEAK it as well as yourself )) I was born and raised in Liverpool and have lived in Yorkshire for 20 years so I wouldn't bet on it! Is there much of a vaping community in Germany? Other than the people on here I know of only 3 other people that have switched from cigarettes to e-cigs - one friend who's been vaping for about 6 months (which is where I first found out about it) and 2 guys at work who started at about the same time as me. Hopefully another colleage will be joining us in the next couple of days when the kit I ordered on his behalf arrives in the post. Got to spread the love where you can! Sorry, the quote thingy went a bit wrong. I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Hi Lesa #7261_9485# I wish I'd found this forum BEFORE I bought my first kit. Oh well, I'm here now and it's great. Had loads of advice and up to now I've managed not to go too mad with the spending Have a look through the vendor lists for 'pick n mix' ejuices. I've had a couple of these and they're a great way of trying out new flavours without having to buy loads. And don't forget to use the discount codes.

Eeeew, gravy flavoured eliquid just sound wrong! Christmas pudding and brandy butter though. Now we're talking. After spending the evening learning 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' for a charity thing on Saturday I'm finally starting to feel a bit Christmassy. BRING ON THE GLUTTONY!

Hi Moonfairy You've come to the right place. As a newbie myself I've recommended it to a couple of people. The people here are lovely and very helpful - no question is ever to silly! What juices have you tried so far? My original kit (I've bought another one since) came with a menthol tobacco liquid as that was what I used to smoke, but I wanted to get away from that as soon as possible. I've tried a couple of fruit flavours so far, but my faves up to now have been the 'dessert' flavours. You can try a couple of different ones by ordering some pick & mix bottles - most vendors do these, and don't forget to use the discount codes on the vendors board. Happy vaping! StS

Hi Chris (and Frau Chris!) and welcome to the forum. The company I used to work for has a sister factory in Kirchheimbolanden, so only about an hour away from you I think. Had a couple of visits there and met some lovely people. As Chrissie said, many of my German colleagues spoke better English than I do - I think it's down to the way it's taught over there. Looking forward to reading your posts and finding out about German mods.

Moon, I'm trying to resist for the sake of my bank balance. There are other things I want to buy (a mixing kit for starters), but if I get these before Xmas then nobody but me will have any pressies!

Thanks for the replies! I've ordered a couple of CE5s (one pink, one purple) and some spare coils/wicks. After Christmas, once I'm used to using the clearos and rebuilding them, I might treat myself to a lovely Vivi NOva STVs - just take a look at its loveliness: www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-vivi-nova-stv~463And then I might look into dripping. But one thing at a time for now!

Thank all, very helpful as always! Given what a few people have said on another thread about higher nic concentrations (I can't believe someone can vape 72mg!!!) I think I'll get him a 24mg 'gold and silver' from Exhale to go with the 18mg bottle that comes with the kit. I can always order something stronger for him later if he finds they're not enough. I think he ultimately wants to cut down, so the 24 and 18 will get used eventually anyway. He's a total technophobe by the way - I'm forever having to rescue him when he's using the computers at work! He doesn't have a pc or laptop at home, which is why I'm helping him out. Hopefully we'll have one more convert to the cause. Mwuhahahahaaaahahaaaaa!!!

Thanks for the help so far! How about finishing off what's in there? Do I keep going until the wicks are almost dry, or will that burn out the coil? Ta! StS
