Hi Paul If you can put some money aside and get yourself a mixing kit I'd highly recommend it. Once you've bought some gear and the ingredients it can work out way under a quid for 10ml of eliquid! You can also mix to exactly your own taste. I did my first load of mixing last weekend. It was easy and I enjoyed doing it.

Ah, good point on storage. Into the fridge they go. (Well, tomorrow after work.) The bottom of the freezer's already full of nic base, VG and PG. Who needs food anyway?!

Did my first load of mixing at the weekend, and it looks like the results are fairly mixed. That's OK though, we all have to start somewhere! Started with small batches, around 2.5ml of each: Chocolate & coconut - this one's gonna be a goodie! Banana & caramel toffee - so far so good. Watermelon - waaaay to strong, it'll need diluting with some more base. Vanilla custard - still very subtle, will leave it to steep a bit longer. Apple & blackberry - think it'll be OK, although flavour ratios might need a tweek. Chocolate cake with icecream - too heavy on the ice cream & nowhere near cakey enough! Custard tart - not enough custard, too much tart! Might just need more steeping, but can always tweek if needed. Will give them all a few more days before I start messing with any of them. I mixed up a 50/50 base of PG/VG with 10mg/ml nic (my preference) then added it to the flavours I'd mixed. Using 20% flavour to start with, mostly as it makes the maths easier! It's interesting to see what works and what doesn't - like the watermelon, probably only needed half the amount of flavouring. Think I'm going to enjoy this mixing lark!

Hi Kitty! Another newbie tip that I didn't know about when I first got my kit (only found this forum afterwards) is that you don't 'draw' on an ecig like you do on the old stinkies - you need to draw slowly to give the juice chance to vapourise. Ask as many questions as you need to. I've asked a few myself, but the folks on here are really helpful and friendly. Good luck, and happy vaping! StS

They didn't share my sense of humour Dolly, so I decided discretion was the better part of valour. I'm 5'8", so would look a bit unbalanced with more dainty sized tootsies as well . . . though a neat size 4/5 and shoe styles can look so much more attractive somehow. Something we shall never experience. I'm 5'7" with size 5 feet. I'm also a bit, erm.... 'top heavy' so I get knocked over in a light breeze! Mum was only 5'2" and she was a 7. A right-angle!

Just started here, little covering on top of the car, fingers crossed it holds of until after 10pm when i have to go and pick the missus up Beat me to it! Just a sprinkling so far, you'll be reet. More forecast for during the day tomorrow, and looks like it'll get nasty by the middle of the week. Bleugh. Time to get the snow shovel and wellies out of the garage.

Some serious hardware on this thread! I'm hoping to get to the Yorkshire meet. Want to pick people's brains about taking the step up from Novas and putting something shiny on top of the Vamo. If I can make it to payday without spending anything else I reckon I can afford a couple more shiny things.

Hi Figgis Sounds like you're doing really well. Don't worry about the ones you had while you were out - it's as much about habit as addiction, and 'drink in one hand, cig in the other' is a difficult one to break! And it was only 10. I only smoked about 15 rollies a day, but I've tried a few times in the past to give up and haven't had any luck. Since I got my first ecig I haven't had a single stinkie and I can't believe how easy it's been. It almost feels like cheating! Try a pick n mix sample of flavours. My favourite flavour keeps changing as I rediscover my taste buds, so these are a really good way of trying out new ones without having to buy the bigger bottles. Happy vaping! StS
