I know exactly what you mean Dolly, I have been having a sort out too, we have to laugh at ourselves don't we,we women. I have 3 drawers full of every style, colour and in 2 sizes to fluctuate my weight gain/loss, why, I ask myself, have I got a fetish for knickers? Some of them I have never worn yet. And don't get me counting nightwear, dressing gowns and bath robes, I must think they are never going to sell them again. Lets face it I am just a spendthrift hoarder when it comes to these items of clothing. Have given 4 bags of tops/jeans/handbags and boots to charity and am nowhere near finished. I gave a stack of household equipment, books, gardening tools, tv's to Freecycle, no sooner had I posted them the phone was ringing and people were at the door collecting the stuff, mostly young people just moving to their first flat together. Nice to help people out . Hi Phoenix When we first returned from Australia, Freecycle was a godsend to us. I feel really happy to return the favour now. I have lots of furniture and kitchen appliances to give way to them. Even the washing machine we originally got given!

If our offer is officially accepted, mid June I need to start now though as due to circumstances I'll be doing most of it on my own. I've already got rid of loads of clothes/shoes/handbags but still the cupboards and drawers are overflowing. As this is a HA house we need to strip it bare, even lift the laminate and take down the curtain rails Sorry peeps. I started the thread then disappeared. Got so distracted with everything yesterday. The whole place is upside down now. I really don't envy your job Karma. Why do you have to remove the laminate? Surely if it looks ok it can be left?

Well, I have been putting it off for weeks, but today we decided to sort through all my clothes and either pack, bin or send to charity shop. I cannot believe how much stuff I had squirrelled away in my wardrobe!! Some things I had completely forgotten I had bought and at least two items I have never worn! we are only two thirds through the clothes and haven't even started on shoes yet. Gawwwwd, how the hell I will manage to buy new knickers, let alone any more new outfits for quite sometime is going to be a hell of an ask.

Oh for gawwwwds sake. I'm getting scared now! LOL.... I might go see if I can flutter my eyelashes at one of the electricians fitting the place out. Bung him a few quid. At least he will know where the wires are seeing as he just fitted them!

ello ok its easy if you get the right stuff so don't worrie 1st thing is to find out what type of wall your mounting it on,it is either plasterboard and breeze block or a stud wall(empty inside).Youll only really find out when you drill it(tapping the wall will not tell you ). The link from amazon is the same one I got for my mums 50"plasma they are universal fitting and the type you want for that type of wall(the ones with an arm so you can twiddle the tv allover the place do put a lot of stress on the mounting point of wall) now bolting it to the wall the fun part if you tap the wall across it youll hear dead spots(try it lol)this is wear the studs for the plasterboard run from floor to celling about 10 to 12" apart.mark them with a pencil were you are going to put the bracket (you don't have to get the bracket central on them that's why it has so many holes in it ) now this is were some help would be handy or 3 hands hold the bracket up were you want the tv to be and mark the holes to be drilled on the studs that you marked out earlier and then put bracket out of way now fun part drilling using a 4 mm drill bit drill marked out holes you should get plaster dust wood dust then some more grey dust if so you've hit breeze block and all is good and you can run a 6 mm drill down them and use these to bolt it on to the wall www.screwfix.com/p/rawlplug-rawlbolts-m6-x-70mm-pack-of-5/60234trust me it will not fall off if you only get wood dust from the hole you got a stud wall and as such just drill the holes with a 4 mm drill and use these to screw it to the wall www.screwfix.com/p/quicksilver-countersunk-prodrive-6-x-2-pack-of-200/13733now mount the tv to the other half of bracket and hang it up for hiding the wires this works well and is easy to put up www.superlecdirect.com/p-fsa1w-falcon-16x16-sa-mini-trunking-white/have fun My eyes glazed over after the first paragraph. I shall pass this on to Mr Dolly! Thanks for that

You are most welcome to a lift and it will save you money. More left for beer! I am in, it will save the poor horse as well. I will gladly pay for the petrol. I'll discuss where the best place for me to get to meet you next time I see you(hopefully Saturday). Thanks Dolly you're a star. No probs Hun. Julie and I split the cost to Yorkshire last year. If we split it three ways to Shrewsbury it will be good all round. Should be coming Saturday. If I can't make the stairs I shall just stay downstairs with Bill.

seniorphil you won't wanna share me and Bills hotel room (he snores!!) but we are happy to pick you up somewhere for a lift there and back. Julie should be coming too. We can sing "we're all going on a summer holiday" and ging gang goolie goolie watch a ging gang goo. I've got a tent, air bed, sleeping bag etc. If I end up outside the station it will be alcohol to blame. I hadn't planned transport yet, but if you have room it will save me walking to Hertfordshire and stealing a horse. You are most welcome to a lift and it will save you money. More left for beer!
