I would put it on the right hand wall as it's made of brick, and the lhs will be plasterboard, = no no I did think of that Andy, but due to room layout it would mean you would be viewing the TV at a side angle all the time. Trouble is, because of where they have placed the TV sockets we have to have the TV in that corner.

I totally agree with you - especially the part I've quoted. I am really looking forward to meeting people from here, those that I have already met before and those that I haven't. Nobody wants to meet me. The sheepskin coat with the £49 cig-a-like kits hanging inside for potential customer perusal will put most off. Errrr..I did meet you last year! You are a fab guy. Don't you dare hide under your sheepskin and avoid me. I shall be hunting for you!

Just thought, judging by the pictures it looks like plaster board so you could try and feed the cables from the t.v too a box point to the wall and then feed the cables behind the plasterboard down to a box point to the dvd/sat box etc. Tricky but well worth it for the ultimate smartness, sorry OCD kicking in again You don't happen to be travelling through Essex in the next few weeks do you?

I don't want cables hanging down the wall. You can see in the photo that the plug points are on the left wall lower down. I will try to run the cabling down the corner. I also want to put a nice little table or cabinet underneath with a plant on top to hide the cabling completely. From the photo it looks like the central heating pipes run up that corner and are boxed in. Maybe the cables could be run down inside the boxing too?? See, now that's why it's a mans job. I wouldn't have even noticed the boxing, never mind running TV cables inside. You are a scholar.... Oh and a gentleman

As others have said Dolly, the bracket won't be a problem at all, but double-check that you have the appropriate wall fixings. Anyone in the local DIY sheds will be able to advise. Ahhh, I just presumed they would give you the wall fixings with it. Glad you told me.

Oh Gawd... she's going to wreck the place within weeks! Sorry Dolly, I'm a worse DIYer than you but I'm sure the experts will be along soon, probably with many other suggestions for your decor. Still really chuffed for you. Won't be me doing it Raff. Mr D is.... Although doesn't know it yet

My Dad has a 50" lcd on his wall, and a couple of weeks ago, he came round and helped Mr Lairey put the 32" on the wall in the spare room.., pretty easy, you just need to make sure you get the correct bracket for it, and you also need to think about cable management... Dad has a piece of white plastic trunking/conduit? Not sure of the right word for it, but it basically hides the hdmi and power cables on the wall Thanks for link Lairey. Yes, I don't want cables hanging down the wall. You can see in the photo that the plug points are on the left wall lower down. I will try to run the cabling down the corner. I also want to put a nice little table or cabinet underneath with a plant on top to hide the cabling completely. @pep good thinking about the walling. I have a sneaky feeling it will be plasterboard, but will ask when we go sign the tenancy on Tuesday. I have been looking on fleabay at brackets. There is a mind boggling array of different types.

In our new place the TV will have to go in this corner. To save space I want to fit it higher up on the wall in the corner. I have never done this kind of thing before. Our TV is a 40" Samsung LCD flat screen. I am really worried about doing it due to the heavy nature of the TV. Has anyone here ever managed to do it themselves? If, so was it easy? I worry about the plaster coming off the wall and the whole thing falling to the ground!!

The Vapefest organiser and the representative of EFVI UK would like to make a joint statement. It was not the intention of the Vapefest committee or EFVI to cause rifts in the vaping community and apologies are offered for any distress that may have been caused over the last couple of days. Amicable discussion has taken place and an agreement has been reached. EFVI will have a stall at Vapefest. We hope this puts the matter to rest and everyone can enjoy a great day as a result. That is excellent news Ric. I knew you would work it out. You are far too sensible and a nice guy!! Well done to all concerned. Hopefully the flame throwers will shut up now and let's us all look forward to a great weekend. Well done all of you!

ahhhh... how lovely. He is as bronzed Adonis and beautiful in the flesh isn't he? He was at last years "Soccer 6 Rest Of The World squad" and my friends told me (afterwards) to think he was only 50 miles away (in Manchester) AND was wearing a football kit. Gutted I was! Yep, bronzed, beautiful and way out of my league.
