I am so stressed out google never entered my stratosphere

Thanks for the reply padiho, but I have gone into both iTunes and the App Store and cannot see anything to click that is remotely connected with banks or payments etc.

Disaster has struck. Just had a phone call from the lady who took both Minky and her daughter Poppet. Apparently, Minky has attacked Poppet and given her a real pasting. She has drawn blood all down her back where she launched herself on her. I am flabbergasted. She has never, ever done anything like this before. Admittedly she has dished out the occasional motherly bat on the head to both Poppet and George, but never with claws out, and certainly never with this type of aggression.
I don't know what to do now. We have to go pick up Minky in the morning, and it's back to square one. three days left to rehome her.

Going through the hell of internet, phone and sky TV as I type! I cannot believe the incompetantcy of the various companies involved. Apparently, my new home doesn't even exist.

As for Royal Mail. Highway robbery springs to mind. I have just gone on to their website. Guess how much they want per PERSON minimum charge to redirect your mail? £25!!!!! Sod that. I am not giving them that kind of money to put my mail in a different pigeon hole!

Karma suggested last week, that it might be a good idea to start a thread for us folks who are about to move home. Hopefully, along the way, we can give out some good tips to help make the move go smoother, but also help people through the undeniably stressful process.

Yes, I am at pulling hair out stage, hence my quietness on the forum. I am so worn out with all the stress, every evening I am sat here, eyes glazed over, vowing never EVER to do it again!

Feeling very low as the pets all went to their new homes today. Feel very lonely without them.

Enough of the negativity. First helpful tip. If you require packing boxes, a great way to get them free of charge is to advertise on websites such as Freecycle, or local community sites on Facebook. There are many people out there who have moved home and are stuck with all the boxes, especially those coming from overseas. When we came back from Australia I was drowning in them. We got lucky a few weeks ago and a lady answered our advert offering us forty boxes! So we haven't had to pay out for anything. Once we have moved we shall then place an ad to pass them on.

After several sleepless nights and worrying incessantly, I think we have just managed to rehome ALL the pets!

George is going to a home with a big big half acre garden with farm fields out the back.

Mr Dolly put a request up on his Facebook page and has had three replies this morning! I have just spoken to a lady on the phone who wants Minky, but when I explained our story she said to bring poppet with us as she might convince her husband to have her as well!
At least if they don't end up going together we now have two back up homes to fall back on.

For the first time in two weeks I have breathed a sigh of relief. It has been damping my happiness and excitement in moving. I couldn't rest until I knew they were going to good homes.

Oh!! And just to add to our good fortunes. Friday night is online bingo night for me and I won again. £500!! I have bought a beautiful dining table and chairs that I couldn't afford before.

It's all falling into place.
