Okay, so just busy getting an order from Darkstar sorted, and thought I would go onto of the kitchen cupboard to see what my old (2013) stash of nic was like. Well this is it, should it get tossed, or do people think it is still fine, it has no smell to it? I also have shed loads of flavours that I guess I should dispose of too  all from the same period.  |

Evening.
Returning to vaping after a gap. I still have my old stuff, but technology has moved on, so so should I.
I have just bought a Smok Alien, and love it, and for the first time I am vaping DTL, which although still getting used to it, is very enjoyable.
But...........I am after a 'normal' tank for the Alien as DTL vaping would just not be accepted at the bar in my local, far too much vapor given off.
So, what do people recommend please?
One thing, it must have easily available to buy/fit replacement coils, I know I could rebuild them, but just not interested, I am all thumbs, and for a few quid, prefer to be able to buy then.

Perhaps it just needs a little getting used to. The other thing I thought of was, have you got the airflow open to the fullest extent davemorton?  Yes, totally open. It is getting better now. I think it must be down to a different type of 'smoke'. I am/was on 15/20 cigars a day, and taking them back, but guess this is a different thing for my throat to deal with. Well I might have solved the 'popping and spitting' issue. I had washed my atty out with vodka to get the 24mg juice out that was in it. I guess it must not have been dry enough when I put my new juice in, as the 'spitting and popping' has stopped now, and it is getting easier on my throat. Newby error I guess. lol, have not worked out how to adjust the Amps (thats if you can!) on this. Its all got much more complex in the last couple of years. |

Have you tried using a lower wattage davemorton . . . . just to see if that's a bit softer on your throat? Yeah. Recommended wattage is 40-80, I have had it on 24, which is about as low as it seems to go to get any vapour. When I have it at about 40, there is even pops/crackles and hot liquid coming up the mouthpiece into my mouth. |

Appologies if I am being an idiot, and am missing the obvious! 3 % = 30mg/ml (i.e. high nic e-liquid) .... I take it that you mean 3mg/ml, which is 0.3% nic! From checking their website I think that it must be 3mg/ml, their PG/VG ratio is also stated as 30pg /70vg, so PG & nic shouldn't cause excessive throat hit.
What coil resistance are you using? Yes, 3mg, sorry.  Just using the coil that came with it. The display reads Ohms 0.414, Amps 0.239 and the coil has 0.4 ohms wrote on it. |

I am presuming button top. Exactially the same as the one in the front of this pic.  Theres a lot of mods wont fit a button top battery, get yerself a Vamo to use button tops in P.s. That calculator recons i have 14-15 yrs of nic base for the three of us Well thats very nice of you to be sharing your nic with Perpetua and myself  Need to get some suitable liquids ordered now for the Baby TFV8 and another pair of batteries. O gosh I should think you did splutter on 24mg Dave!  You'd probably find 6mg will be ample . . . . . .
