I can make the decision very easy for everyone... I will no longer be making mods for others for personal reasons. Many thanks to those that have supported me on my modding journey and for those that own my mods, I will of course continue to provide help and advice. This thread can be locked if an Admin/Mod chooses to do so. Sean

Got to admit that it's beyond my why a 18650 mod can't run an LR attie. Without having one here to test/dismantle, my guerss would be that the battery can handle it fine... but the switch can't. It sounds like the switch is under-rated and can't handle the Amps that a LR atty draws. This will cause the switch to eventually fail, sometimes in the off positive, sometimes in the on position. Anyone who has searched for switches to use in mods will agree with me that it's easy to find small switches - there's millions of them around and they're very cheap! However, it's another thing trying to find small switches with a 3 Amp rating at all, let alone at a decent price! Sean

As far as I'm aware, the isn't a UK vendor that does a single DIY kit. Ebay is good but of course the complete set has to be bought from several suppliers. RS are expensive... slightly cheaper is RapidOnline but only worth it if you're buying in bulk as postage is steep. If you want a DIY kit, drop me a PM... I'm happy to supply everything you need apart from the atty connector but once I've run out of spares, then the offer will cease. Sean

Cloud9 stocks 3ml bottles and Kev from Freedom Vapes does Pic'n'Mix flavours in 3ml bottles too! Both the above are the taller/narrower kind that I think are easier to squeeze than the short/fat ones! Sean

it also has to be remembered that there are only so many ways to make a PV mod. Once those are exhausted, then it comes down to pure aesthetics. My 109 is basically a torch conversion... as is the LG by Gary Dibley and the Magnum that you'll find instructions for on YouTube. They are essentially the same thing but with minor differences. My box mods are just that... box mods. The differences I've put in are my touch sensors and different options such as two batteries, spare battery holder, spare juice holder etc. etc. But in essence, they are straight forward box mods. The Goliath was my creation but I'd very much doubt that it hasn't been done before. It's just that I'm not aware of it or it didn't catch on and isn't well known. Other things I've modded have been products of the modders curse (which I know V suffers from) in that you're out and about and everything you're looking at is subject to the following question... hmmm, I wonder if I could mod that? I have shared ideas and even sent out sets of parts to 'new' modders (I still fit into that group too) but these have mainly been stock parts that anyone with a little google-fu could find and buy. But my personal suppliers are pretty much my little secret, even though I'd bet that you will use the same one if you shop on ebay, it's just that I know said supplier face-to-face and therefore have a little more leverage on prices. Anyway, that's where my mods have come from so far, in addition to exchanging ideas with vapers who want something made for them. I'm not that fussed where everyone else gets their ideas, after all, it can only be done so many ways. Sean

I can see your point but most mod 'vendors' started as hobby-modders. For example, I'd tell you what's in my touch sensors switches but I won't tell you how to wire it or what the exact specs of the components are... that would be for you to research and work out. Besides, if you found a stunning and unique mod case that people wanted to pay you for, would you let everyone who could copy it and compete know where it came from? Sean

Just don't sell yourself short buddy, like Jason says, chores are harder to complete than the fun stuff! People will appreciate your work and will be happy to pay reasonable prices for it. Good luck! Sean

V, I think it looks good... But I think your pricing is insane! If you take out the cost of postage, I'll bet you're actually making a loss on each one. A very basic pricing strategy is to work on 1/3's. One third is materials, one third is time/expertise/effort/wear and tear on tools etc. and the final third is profit. When I do my mods, I don't really include time as I do it for fun but by my calculations, your materials cost around £1.66 (I seriously doubt that), your time is worth £1.66 and your profit is £1.66. If you take 10 minutes (I suspect longer) to make one from scratch, then your hourly time-only rate is £9.96 (without taking into account the other '1 third' factors such as sourcing time etc). I know this may not be popular, but I think your price is way too low. No-one here will begrudge you making a little spending money for good work! Sean

You're most welcome mate but you'd done some work for me so payment was due... and let's be honest, this payment was way below what you could/should charge for your skills! Sean
