Todd's reviews are just wonderful - they always feel like a good mate talking to you rather than a 'professional reviewer' if you know what I mean. Oh and I got an Oddy clone 'premium set' from VaporFreak today with the extended 6ml tank..... filled to the brim with GVC..... nom nom nom I have gambled a bit and pre-ordered a magoo from billy @ greyhaze, im hoping it is going to be good. Where do I find greyhaze?

Perhaps we should all quit everything and just drink neat vodka and only eat organic lettuce Seriously though we have quit something we have been told is bad for us even though we enjoyed it, so we should make vaping as chemical free as it can be. What vodka do you have Dina? Sounds like a plan

I have just read the following while searching for some de-ionised water closer to home as my nearest Halfords is approx 8 miles away, i copied & pasted it to see what anyone thought.
I have just bought all my various bottles for the next batch of mixing. but this time around I bought the VG glycerine from boots. As many people do for a 100% VG mix, i want to thin the Glycerine down with some Distilled water. So I read on here and other forums that people are using De-ionised water for car batteries or the like. But thought to myself that this is an industrial water - De-ionised is filtered not heated or distilled, so could potentially, and probably does contain microorganisms of some kind, it would be put in unsterilized containers and stored as an industrial product not a food. The reason for making this thread is to bring this up: I spoke to the Boots pharmacist today and asked if de-ionised water from hardware/car shops is safe to drink or inhale as vapour? His answer was a straight NO! De-ionised water from a car or hardware shop, is not fit for human consumption, by drinking or otherwise consumed. I asked him what the alternative would be? He suggested purified water, which is distilled and bottled in a sanitary manner.
This is available to order from boots, but only in 5 litre bottles! LLyoyds chemist and tesco pharmacy can order them in 2ltr (still a huge amount) I went up to tesco to see if they had any off the shelf, but ended up ordering a 2ltr bottle from them @ £2.47 so even its 100 times the amount I need its a good enough price, I think I will freeze the remaining to keep it fresh till the next time I need 20ml. I wanted to flag this up as I realise that its widely accepted to use De-ionised water. I Know there are also alternatives such as Voka and of course PG. but for those who dont want to or cant use either of those, purified water is the safe option. I hope this thread can become a resource for knowledge. please dont just post Ive been vaping de-ionised water for Xyears and its never done me any harm. as thats not the point!! I would say based on the advice I received it is probably not safe and certainly not necessary to consume a water made for industry Alternatives are: Distilling your own Buy some purified water from a pharmacy Use injectable water(if you have access to such a thing!) Vodka or PGA Vape this! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Not this! I totally agree with you, over the years we have all consummed loads of crap but we made a conscious decision to stop smoking so why start again, I personally use vodka, bought a miniature from my local booze shop £1.98 & have been using that for the past 4 months & its only half way down the bottle. You are doing the right thing in my opinion.

As I said earlier.. 2mm rope with a full length mesh skirt. (wrap mesh tight around the rope at the top and really loose at the bottom) Oxidise the whole of the rope but only the part of the mesh that will be touched by the coil. 3 wraps kanthal 0.20 ~1.5ohms and away you go... Never ever had a dry burn or anything with that setup and the flavour was awesome for a gennie! Try it! Thanks Dan will give it a go with full mesh & .20 kanthal instead of the .25 maybe its because of the gap around the rope not drawing the liquid up.

I use 3-4 of .25 Kanthal - usually comes out at around 1.4ish Ohms - depending on the device thee are going to use it on. Thanks digicig just collected it from PO, looks like a cracking piece of kit for only £19.20 all in from eciglondon. A bit larger than i expected but no probs, I think i'm going to try wire rope with a top cap of mesh for the coil with as you say 3/4 wraps & see how it performs. Chears all. Managed to get round to wicking the rsst this weekend after getting through the list of work the wife left as she was working weekend bless her ;-) funny how i get a list & when she is off, if its the other way round she is always to busy. Anyway cut & oxidised the 2 mm rope, cut & wrapped the 400 mesh on the top section, fitted .25 kanthal 3 wrapps, put it on the evic & got 1 ohm then the attomiser short message, placed it on the vamo lo ohms. Put it on my mech mod with fresh 18350 & manage to get it pulse oxidised, filled it up with strawberry menthol 70/30 it vapes but not a lot of vaper or flavour & keep getting dry burns, any suggestions?

Hi guys I ordered a cobra/chobra from fasttech which arrived today, I oxidised the wick and recoiled, it came out at 1.6ohms, but no matter what voltage I try it at it gives me a burnt taste I don't know what the problem could be, if anyone has a solution please help It's not been a good start into the world Of RBA's :/ Thanks Not wanting to sound stupid but when you use it are you tilting it in the horizontal position with the wick at the bottom to aid the juice to flow down the wick to the coil?

Just thought I would let robby know we are all thinking of him, I for one miss his bargains, banter & vaping knowledge The forum is not the same without him. I'm sure you would all agree & want to wish him a speedy recovery. If so let's make sure he gets our best wishes by way of notification.

How well it will wick - generally considered the higher the number the better the wicking - not that i've noticed a huge difference between 400 and 500 TBH - just have an A3 sheet of 500 How many coils around the wick would you recommend?
