OK, Ive refrained from asking silly questions so far, but as I buggered up my innokin last night thinking that to dry burn you'd have to pull the wicks out... Sooooo My question is, if you have dried out the wicks and heat the coil with the wick still in place, would that not make it burn and go black?
There. Got it off me chest at last!

Tell me about it!, Ive got 3 more different coloured vision E3 rebuildables and 10 spare wicks on order, 5 more cartomisers, (and of course the obligatory bottle of juice to add to my collection) AND already got my 3rd battery set up. Chaps at work, one has the stainless steel Riva 1100 just delivered (does look kinda sexy) and a pink one for his OH, another chap ordered the white one today (only coz they had run out of the stainless steel ones) and another one already has this monstrous square battery jobby that looks like an old walkman and more converts on the way.
This vaping business is spreading faster than a wild fire! All in all, since I started the E-lites 3 weeks ago and I was the first to start the ball rolling, I reckon that me and all the chaps at my work (and were only a team of 14) have probably spent getting on for £800

Just tried that on the Innokin CE5 dual coil, Then tried again after watching the FULL video and making a complete balls of it. Was hoping to be able to re-thread the wick in the original coil. With my fat sausagy fingers, think I'll have to just buy the spare heads complete. haha

My lovely daughter caught the bliss look on my face while on the Lemon Meringue Pie juice and she said that I looked like that fat, Hookah smoking caterpillar from Alice In Wonderland,....Nice! So I thought it only appropriate that I selected that particular caterpillar as my Avatar! Does my bong look big in this?

Hey, I'll tell ya what.... Though I'm not a 'money expert', judging by the threads here, I wonder if Jason at Vape Escape is selling shares!! Hey, Jason if you're reading this, ever thought of opening a 'Vape Cafe' where none believers can come and chuff a few samples and the converted (like me) can come and shake your hand and buy you a beer?
This is why I believe forums are THE place to get unbiased views and read the down sides as well as the upsides. An ex colleague of mine (who happened to be a Marketing Director) said that if you can get a dedicated board, 95% of your work is done for you!
MarkS,... The health benefits... First of all I forgot how much my lungs could deflate. I'm physically breathing out more. My wheeze is so much better and although I still have a bit of a morning cough when I get up, it doesnt stay with me until about 4pm like it used to. Dry lips and throat aside, which is more likely that I dont regulate my vapes like a fag, as a fag is gone in 5 minutes and I find I'm still toking 30 minutes after picking it up. The initial constipation I was suffering from is easing off now, but still suffering from...erm...quite potent botty cough's that make our dog puke!
From a financial point of view, the new 'Vaping since' banner is my defence when my OH says "How much have you spent", coz I can just refer to it and say, look, according to this I have saved £72 on tobacco and although I'm about still in the red, rough calculations show that I will eventually get in the black and the savings will grow.
Vaping....Where have you been all my life?
My best

Getting on very well with the Riva 1100. Starting to gain a definite preference for clearomisers. Cant stop buying the bloody e-liquid tho, now got over 200ml in stock (special cupboard set aside) and about another 50ml on order. OH has a lovely display rack for sewing thimbles and the 5ml sample bottles look lovey in it, but she is not convinced (yet)!
Have been experiencing the dry throat & especially lips (special tip, if you borrow your other half's lip balm, make sure its the type that DOESN'T contain a pink lipstick shade, couldn't work out why I was getting funny looks at work, until someone asked if I was wearing my wifes panties as well!). But would definitely say I have been drinking more tea. Tried many fantastic flavours but for me I do keep going back to the 'British Tobacco' e-liquid found here: www.smokshop.com/collections/e-liquidsHave 2 on the go permanently and find a couple of chuffs on a baccy flavour followed by a couple on a sweet flavour, (with a cup of tea) is absolute bliss! My best

Brilliant, thanks for the explanation & vid. The detail on the clearomiser on vapescapes says this is a consumable item and will need replacing at some stage and gives a range of "one to several weeks" Assuming I use the cleaning method above, does anyone have a realistic lifespan? I've bought a spare but obviously don't want to get caught short.

Getting on very well with my Riva 1100. Have a slight preference for the clearomiser over the cartomiser as you can see when its due for a refill and it seems that you have to drip a bit more often into the carto's.
To give the clearomiser the longest possible life, how often would you recommend a clean? As I've gone dizzy with the amount of threads I have read, I think (unless I was hallucinating) that I read somewhere that it is recommended to keep the clearo full, as it keeps the wick covered. Anyone know if this is correct? If so when it comes to a clean, is there an easy way to drain the tank OR is it recommended to vape it down to empty. (does this then run the risk of wearing it out quicker?)
BTW, I cant stop spending on juice... By the end of this week I will have about 180ml in stock of various flavours and strengths. Well....I like to keep my options open!

Well, I have to admit I was a little worried that it would have the kick or taste of a proper tobacco cigarette, but I have come to the conclusion that in the last 2 weeks, my taste buds have definately evoled, because in the last day or two, my e-lites have started to taste a little...off. First thought I was just having a bad tip or 2 but tried a couple from a new box.
When I was on rolling tobacco, I used to use a rolling machine, due to suffering from fat finger syndrome, I just couldnt roll a decent one to save my life. However, especially on freshly opened pouches, it tended to roll them that tight so that on occasions, it was like trying to suck start a Harley Davidson.
To get around this I would dry it out by microwaving it for about 40 seconds, making it much dryer and stronger. And while the E-lite certainly helped on the initial swap from the real stuff, this RIVA is soooo much better, not only on taste, but nicotine hit.
All I have to watch now is that I dont sit there with it permanently hanging out of my mouth!

Well, I'm getting to the stage where I'm thinking about giving up (waiting for Payday that is). So it looks like the Riva 1100 kit and some Grizwald's samplers. Again the flavours that seem to crop up more than others are, Black Cat, Old Holby and Banoffee. (which I do drool uncontrollably when I come within 2 metres of the edible variety).
I am guessing that the 'Cartomisers' are better for experimenting with samples and the 1 clearomiser is for when you have established that flavour that you want to 'favourite'. Does the clearomiser store more juice? Am also guessing that by its name you can visually see when you are getting close to a re-fill?
OK so thats one 1100 kit, 3 trial flavours (feel free to recommend any more). Would you suggest that I get any more spare batteries or clearomisers etc?
Credit card on standby!
All my best
