Fantastic, thank you. That seems to simplify it a lot. I just can't seem to take on board too many facts and figures any more (due to age!) but you have been very concise. Can't wait to get mixing and saving money too in addition to giving up the old stinkies!

Thank you charon. One more question re the CCW flavours........can these be considered an alternative to what are called "concentrated" e liquids for DIY mixing? So you just need a few drops in to non flavoured Nic base and some PG and VG? I want to do a bit of mixing, but find all the info on the mixing thread a bit complicated to work out. I cannot work out the recipes on the chart system at all - it's a brain thing with me!! If anyone could translate a recipe or two into "drops" rather than percentages etc. I may be able to get my head around it. Think it's something to do with being 70 years old!

I realise it will depend much on the amount you vape per day, but assuming vaping to replace 20 normal cigs per day, how often will the clearomiser need changing - I use the Ce4, and how will I know when it needs changing. Sorry for nerdy questions. I started vaping earlier this year, but fell by the wayside and took up the old habit again! Now back with a new eGo t which is loads better than my original equipment, so hope to pack in the analogs for ever this time.

Thanks for the replies. I was buying some pharma grade liquid today in Spain and the assistant advised not to buy any Chinese liquids as they can contain Benzine.........so this prompted my question. Happy to know the standards in the UK are good as I'll be topping up again on my return.

Hi, have been alerted to the fact that some e liquids contain something like Benzine - not good! How can I tell that my e liquids are made from good ingredients and are as pure as they can possibly be? Most of the on line vendors don't seem to emphasize the contents of their liquids or give any reassurance that the contents are harmless. It worries me.

Has anyone tried adding food extracts like Vanilla or Peppermint to the mix?

Hi, if I have bought a high nicotine content, but it is not quite right for me, is it possible it can be diluted in any way?

I am not back in the UK until end of April, so won't be ordering it until closer to that time so it is at home when I get back. These replaceable filters are very cheap here in Spain, so cost is not an issue, was more curious if they could be refilled. As I've never seen a fish tank filter, it's hard for me to imagine why it should work in my filter. But never mind, don't think about it any more, as I said I can replace them very cheaply, it was just a question of curiosity. My other "rip off" one (pictures at top of this thread) it is completely different. It has a white bung type thing at the end of the filter, so assume I can fill that by taking the bung out, looking t see what is absorbing the liquid and replace accordingly.

No, I don't, is there any other alternative? Cotton wool? Washing up sponge?

Yes, I'll let you know when I start on the Riva. In the meantime I wonder if you can tell me if I can refill my cheapo ecig I bought here in Spain. Here is a photo of the three sections. The "filter" seems to have a foil core to it, which is pierced by the metal point on the small centre section. On one or two of the vapes I have had a strong taste of the liquid and when I took it apart there was a surplus of liquid on the pointy metal bit. Is there something wrong with that? Anyway, some info on how I may refill it would be good. Thanks.

Thanks, it was a loo in a plane I was interested in knowing about......I asked if I could use one while seated and got a lecture about why it was not allowed, but the attendant did not mention the loo. Think I will try it on my next plane journey just for the hell of it.
