I have the mixing bug now, while browsing on Health-E-Vape I came across the concentrate for another of my staple vapes.. RY4 Deluxe....had to get it lol! Having just followed recipes before, am looking for a bit of advice - what percentage flavour should I use, is 20% too much??? On the site they recommend 5-10%, so why not try at 10% and see how it goes?

Hey Roscopecotrain don't beat yourself up, you slipped, you feel pissed off for doing it, which is good as it shows that you know it was only a blip. Difficult times, keep strong and I hope it all works out for you (and Franki)

Hi I have just ordered 250ml of 7.2 nic based VG for under £30. Is this a good deal? If my calculations are correct I can add 750ml of glycerin and I will have 1 litre of unflavoured nic based glycerin at 1.8 mg which I can add flavour to and vape on the cheap for months. That's around the same price as about 6 packets of cigarettes plus concentrate, if I am right. Which is best? 50 - 50 PG/VG or 80 - 20? I like a good amount of vapour and a good throat hit. I am currently using a vv set to 5v and an I30 atty which I find very good on pre-mixed liquids. Your advice will be appreciated as I am not in to mixing as yet. Yes, you will have 1lt of 100% VG nic @ 18mg. But you then ask about 50/50 or 80/20, if you have been vaping for about 7 months, then you surely must have an idea of what ratio you prefer? Also what do you want the final mg content of your mix to be, because using an 18mg 100 VG base does not give you a lot of wriggle room at those ratios.

Jason didn't slip up and give you the cocomel recipe did he? per chance Pleeeeeeze Lol. I haven't read the full thread yet. Is not not on here then? Oddly enough, back in the day when I first ordered my beloved Banoffee, I also ordered Cocomel. I never took to it the same as the Banoffee. Having said that I didn't read up on it and I gotta admit I had the misconception that the "Coco" part was coconut not cocoa. I'm still emotionally scarred to this day. The Coco part is coconut!! From the description "A well balanced blend of coconut and caramel."

Cheers Roger, it seems like the right one, but I was looking for a concentrate as I mix mine with mostly VG as I think I've built up a resistance to PG. Oh and it's spelt Bazooka eh, well you could forgive the wrong spelling as I was only a kid when I used to buy them back in the good ol days So was I It was only when I was searching for the juice that I remembered how it was spelled. "Bazooka Joe", apparently, to give it it's full title (in the USA) There are quite a few bubblegum concentrates around, it needs someone who has tried one and remembers the gum to give a recommendation really.

Basically yes, the same. Especially step 6 onwards. I would add a step between 4&5, 'have recipes ready to hand' especially if using different amount of flavours in 1 or more bottles, because you are adding possibly different amounts of PG/VG. Nic should always be the same if doing the same mg in each mix.

Would that be due to the concentrate's themselves being freshly prepared before being sent ? Some may be, but not many. Some concentrates are good to go after a day, some, even though it is a single concentrate/flavour you think you are using, may be a mix of various flavours. It is difficult to be exact with some concentrates, a lot will depend on how you like it personally. I have found I can vape a freshly made menthol straight away, but others will take longer. The best advice, as ever, is to mix, leave 24hrs, test, adjust if necessary etc, etc. But some mixes are good straight away, others aren't. If trying a new flavour, I always have a search around to see what sort of % and steeping time etc. Always keep notes, it saves that "oh bol****s what did I tweak that one to?" All part of the fun that is

I am assuming you still need to steep the liquid? Although somewhere I saw that someone here vapes it straight off. ???? From my experience, when only adding one flavour, steeping for 1 day after a thoroughly good shake now and then is fine. Prolonged steeping is generally required when mixing multiple flavours together and/or when using VG heavy bases as it will take longer for the flavour to mix wit the VG due to it's consistency A lot of tobacco flavours, even single, do often require at least a good week before they are "getting there"

I presume ..( but I'm new to this ) that having pre mixed VG/PG at a set level of 18mg removes some of the more problematic sides of mixing like trying to get your Nic levels right ... That part is already done for you.. All you need do is add flavours of your choosing ... Nothing you do can increase the nicotine levels ... Only lower it slightly It sounds simple and I think it really is... Unless I've missed the point entirely Also the odd bit of juice ( at 18 mg) on an ungloved finger isn't gonna kill you ... God I'm sure we've all swallowed small amounts before It all depends on how much you want to lower the nic. Using a 10ml total mix using 18mg nic at 50/50 as an example: 10% flavouring - 9ml 18mg 50/50 1ml pg based flavour will give you 10ml of 55/45 @ 16.2mg 20% flavouring - 8ml 18mg 50/50 2ml pg based flavour will give you 10ml of 60/40 @ 14.4mg It is simple and if you are not too worried about the mg of your mix then fine, but a lot of mixers prefer to mix to exactly what they want. A good calc makes this simple as well.
