Whats your mixing procedure?

My mixing procedure is the following

Wait until i need to make at least five minimum wether it be new mixing samples of 5ml or 30ml

My steps are this:

1: Get the required amount of bottles ready
2: Label up the bottles
3: Get my PG - VG - Nic base ready
4: Get my syringes ready
5: Get a 2 cups with warm water, one is for flushing out the syringe too clean it, the other is the same as the previous but it's the second flush for more cleanliness
6: Open up the your recipe via whatever calculator you use
7: Fill up each bottle of the required amount Nic Base
8: Fill up each bottle of the required amount PG
9: Fill up each bottle of the required amount of VG
10: Store away the Nic Base/PG/VG as i am now finished with them
11: Fill up each bottle with the required amount of flavoring

Then once finished give all the bottles a good shake and store away into a dark cupboard and then put the concentrates away where they came from and the final part is just to clean the syringes in warm water with the flushing procedure and dry them.

All done

EDIT: Forgot too add, have a large area to work with and i keep my bottles in the center to stop wavering left and right arms knocking them over.

Basically yes, the same. Especially step 6 onwards. I would add a step between 4&5, 'have recipes ready to hand' especially if using different amount of flavours in 1 or more bottles, because you are adding possibly different amounts of PG/VG. Nic should always be the same if doing the same mg in each mix.

Exactly the same but I don't do number 5

Almost the same, but I swap numbers 9 and 7 around... my thinking is, if I knock over one of the mix bottles, at least it's already diluted to about 24mg ish before flavour, so less of a hazard than knocking over neat 72mg.

I only bother with 1 cup of warm water... and I only do bottles with the same % of flavouring in each batch, then I can do the same PG, VG and base % in all the mixing bottles. I write the labels out before I mix and stick them on once I have added the flavour... knowing me I'd put the wrong flavour in the wrongly labelled bottle and be having to peel them off and re-do!

Very similar except I vape a lot during steps 1,3,5,7,9 and 11 ;-)

Same as lairey !! nic base goes away mid mixing. labels after.... do in matching batches ( ie T-Juice at 15%) lined up with flavours behind.

Oh yeah, step 6 I do 1st -- and check in triplicate, confirm on as many programmes/sites I can, because I'm never sure I am correct........ *newbie alert!*

Yep, as i use 100% PG 72mg Nic base it's the same amount in each bottle for 30ml with Nic base/VG..the only thing that changes is the PG due to flavorings.

This is ofcourse based on me making the same ml in strength and size in ml.

Works flawlessly and nice and simple.....just how i like things....my wife calls it military i call it obvious

Very similar but I sort out recipes first so I am not searching for flavours, and as soon as I have measured nic I put it away, I am clumsy and messy but thankfully I only mix for myself and don't have young children or pets.

I often have to mix in my bedroom as either my grandson is treating the house as a race track or our puppy is being a nosey bugger lol.
so i do

1. work out recipe on calculator and write down the recipe (usually on a bit of bookie paper)
2. go upstairs and get everything ready.
3. add nic
4. add PG
5. add VG
6 add flavours
7. write name of juice on a sticker and attach to bottle
8. give it a good shake

If i am doing more than 1 juice, i will still do it in the above order, as the last time i tried multiple mixes, i mixed up what flavourings went where.

ah... yes jcol I also learnt fast --- it is NOT a time saver to make up in batches one at a time for me now -- I also get 'easily distracted/confused' I couldnt remember - from my weeny row of bottles which had what stage in them so one at a time, slower but safer for me!

I use lots of different coloured elastic bands and glass bottles for the initial mixing/steeping/UCing then decant after a few days in to plastic bottles.

The elastic bands are good when using the UC as labels tend to wear off :-)

I seem to work different to everyone else
1 label bottles
2 add flavour
3 add vg
4 add pg
5 lastly add nic base and put it away
6 put lids on bottles shake and put to steep
This way I don't have unopened nic base hanging around long
I usually do 3 different mixes at a time
Oh should probably have said first I take nic base out of fridge but don't open it.

I have a premix of 70% thinned vg to 30 % pg in a bottle and usually I
1) line up half a dozen bottles
2) add nic base to get my chosen strength, 10mg currently
3) add premix to take the volume to 80%
4) add 20% flavour, going to and from the kitchen each flippin time to clean out the syringe in a cup of hot water under the running tap
5) dripper, lid, wonder what the flavour was, unlid, smell, lid, label, repeat.

My routine is quite a bit different. I'm fortunate enough to live alone, so I've set up a permanent mixing station in my airing cupboard - all the necessaries are on the shelves in front of me. I don't use a recipe calculator, either. I have a log book where I note every ingredient, as it goes into every mix.

It helps that I always aim for 16mg and 50/50 PG/VG. Keeping in mind my target quantity, I'll start with the flavours, reckoning the total proportion of flavour in the juice, and subdivide that into flavour ingredients. Then the nic base, nearly always the same strength, so I know the quantities. At that point, I have a total of PG ingredients, which are topped up to 50% of the final quantity with PG, then add the remaining 50% VG.

For small quantities, I mix straight into the bottle. If I'm doing 30ml or more, I use a whiskey glass, and a milk frother to blend it all at the end, then syringe it into whatever container it's going to steep in.

After that, washing up, everything dried and put away in its usual place.

(edit: forgot to mention, I don't do my labels until I've finished, and I know what I've actually made, as opposed to what I was planning to make.)
