So, today I got that horrible burned taste for the first time - so I guess my T3 head had basically died? I've taken the whole thing apart, and it's currently sitting in a glass of denture-cleaning liquid - both head and body of the clearo. Is it likely that I will resurrect the head by doing this, or is it toast? Not bothered if it is (after all, they're cheap), just wondering if I can extend its lifespan this way?

Funny how your body takes over when your brain is otherwise engaged - I tried to set light to the bottom of my battery not too long ago, and back in the day I once stapled the end of my cig (when smoking in the office was OK) instead of lighting it Hope the nose recovers soon!

It IS harder when your other half is still smoking, because you don't get all the benefits of giving up - the house still smells of smoke, there's still ash, and of course the stinkies are sitting there waiting for your moment of weakness! I know, because my husband is still smoking (although am away from home at the moment, and therefore free of cig smoke, although living with my Dad's cigar habit!). Despite all this, and only 4 weeks into vaping (was on e-cigs a week before my eGo Twist arrived, hence sig start date), I am determined never to go back to smoking. So far I've been very lucky with my kit - all I have is my basic starter kit of 2 x eGo Twist batteries, several T3 clearos, some MT3 clearos and a couple of CE4 clearos, plus a couple of extra batteries. OK, so the T3s and MT3s leak a little bit - but only a little bit, and not all of them, I just carry a tissue and wipe as I go Not had any major disasters so far. Sounds like you've been particularly unlucky with your experience! I think it helped me to get away from tobacco flavours as early as possible - turns out I'm not that keen on the taste of tobacco after all - I far prefer coffee, chocolate donut and vanilla custard. It's made me dissociate the act of vaping from that of smoking, because the taste doesn't remind me of what I'm 'missing'. Also - had a bit of a revelation last night, whilst sitting happily by a roaring fire in a pub, vaping away. We were quite near the door, and MAH GAWD! the smell as people came in and out from the smoking area - it was really strong, and I definitely don't want to smell like that again ever! My non-and-never smoking mate laughed at me turning my nose up at it, he said he's heard so many ex-smokers comment on the smell - but we really can't smell it when smoking, can we? Please don't be discouraged - you will find the kit that works for you, and you won't look back. You may - as I have - develop a craving for custard, though Best of luck!

Funnily enough, my storage device at home is also a biscuit tin!

I mentioned earlier in the thread that I won 5 x 10ml of juice from UKEcigs - very happy about that! My mate James actually won the pink ds case, I think - but being a non vaper (only came along to keep me company, but ended up having a great evening) he passed it to someone - I forget who! Huge thanks to all who donated raffle prizes - I'll see if I can find something to include next time

I still think we should sort out a Brighton meet for the summer just for the lolz - am happy to work on finding a vape-friendly venue, but wouldn't it be great if I could talk the people who run the pubs on the pier to let us vape in there? I'm thinking of July/August sometime, when there may (or may not) be good weather. Am thinking of it as an additional meet, not a regular one - I was thinking about the regular meets, and I personally am of the opinion that we need to find a venue which is reliably vape friendly, serves food, and which we use every time, so people get to know where it is and how to get there. Although I had a laugh (at one point was in hysterics) last night about our wanderings, it would be much nicer to know we had a regular 'home' to go to. Can't actually help with that as I'm not in the London area - but what do the rest of you think?

The thing that inspired me to start vaping was the need to find some more money each month to feed the mortgage with - I didn't realise I'd end up with a new passion! I keep telling the husband that we're saving loads, but see the light of doubt in his eyes every time a new bit of vape mail arrives Probably a good thing we're in different countries for the next couple of weeks!

Am I right in thinking that the next meet will be sometime around May 4th? I know it's very early to be asking, but those of us wot live in other countries have to make arrangements well in advance. I know already I'll be here for that weekend (Dad has a Dr's appointment) so am hoping it's going to be then... I would hate to miss it!

Hello and welcome! I'm a new vaper too (see sig!), and all I can say is it's the best decision I ever made (the second best was to join this forum). Went from 30 a day to 0 as soon as my starter kit arrived - with absolutely no effort. You've had some great advice on this thread, the only thing I have to add is be prepared to give over large areas of your house for juice and kit storage, because there's so many shinies out there, and so many flavours! All the best in your vaping career!

Re the raffle - I won the bag of juices from the UKEcig people Too delicate this morning to have tried them yet, but I'm looking forward to that later, especially the Purple Rain and the Lust Many thanks for your generosity guys!
