Well, all seems OK with the weather, so am about to set off - see you there! If anyone spots a woman with reddish hair and a sage green coat looking a bit lost, that'll be me - say hi, please!

I'm fed up with the 'winter' - we live in a house with no central heating (gas fire and 'real' turf fires only) and I am sick to death of feeling cold. I seem to have spent the past 6 months (so it feels) huddled here by the fire, wrapped in layer after layer. I have veggie seeds I want to plant, but can't because there's going to be another frost this weekend (and I'm away for a couple of weeks from tomorrow, so it'll be April before I get to plant anything). The dogs are permanently encrusted with mud, which they gleefully smear all over the house, and I am getting tired of getting soaked every time I go out with them. Anyway, am off to my Dad's tomorrow so have the luxury of central heating for a little while - and hopefully won't see snow 'cos he's in Brighton and it looks like it''ll miss it. It better do, else no doubt the trains to London'll be mucked up, and I need them on Saturday to get to the meet!

I admit to having become obsessed with vaping, to the extent that I'm spending most of the day browsing vaping sites and forums - with the occasional impulse purchase added on I'm in danger of becoming a vaping bore, so am looking forward to meeting other vapers on Saturday, who hopefully won't look at me funny when I start enthusing about vaping yet again!

Yesterday, as you probably noticed, was St Patrick's Day and - being in Ireland - we were duty bound to go out for a few drinks. Went to the pub that knows us, and asked the landlady if she was OK with me vaping in the bar. No problems - except I was overcome with shyness! There were a few other people in, and somehow it felt so wrong to be doing something similar to smoking after all these years of the ban - so I went outside  with the smokers a couple of times. Then the vodka kicked in. And I found a seat at the bar next to the fire. And it started raining. So I vaped at the bar The landlady has now agreed to host a vape meet at the pub - which is a bit out of town, so we may not get many people coming along, but it's a start

Another observation is that vodka and vaping don't always mix - went to change a battery over and ended up unscrewing the head instead and pouring juice over my hand. One mad dash to the bathroom for washing purposes later, all was well. At least one friend is planning to buy themselves a vaping kit this coming week as a result of seeing mine, so there's another convert in the making

Today is time for quiet contemplation and gentle vaping (ie it's a hangover day, thank gawd it's a bank holiday here!). Just thought I'd tell you about my first vaping in public experience!
