The report to trading standards was just as a matter of course as the product is faulty and, in this instance, dangerous. It is just the product recall that has been reported.
It would be remiss of this industry to not be acting in the consumers best interests given the scrutiny we are currently under.

Please report ANY Vendor you find that is selling or has sold these and they have not issued a Recall notice on their website so that ECCA can get the ball moving on the vendors to ensure they are keeping your best interests at the forefront of their business.
In regards to this recall, the ECCA Committee are actively seeking out and contacting vendors who have not yet posted up a recall for these items. Please be aware at present, ECCA UK does not recommend sending this product back to the vendor due to the severity of the fault and does not want the consumer or vendor putting a postal service worker in any kind of danger.
Smoktech has been contacted for proper disposal of these products.
We would also like to make you aware, ECCA UK have also notified Trading Standards on this issue.

Yes according to a thread on another forum, dropped it 3ft on to a carpet. May be a different unit but I guess the resulting damage will be the same.
So again ECCA will reiterate please contact the retailer that sold you one of these ASAP, and any issues please contact us immediately so we can get it sorted as quickly and as easily as possible.

Could I just add if any consumer has any issues in receiving a full refund from any vendor, please contact ECCA UK immediately by raising a support ticket.
We do hope there won't be any issue in receiving refunds, but just in case there is we are here.

Good stuff sammy13 you can never have too many backups, and as someone said to me nearly 3 months ago "back ups for those back ups", I believe it was @chrissie that said that

I need to get myself at least 1 carto. The last time I tried one was on my cig-a-like, and I did quite enjoy the vape. The only thing is the amount of liquid it holds puts me off. I can't be dealing with the faff 3 times a day lol

I have had clearos filled for days, and no issues. I have 3 filled currently, so absolutely no issues, and just chop and change throughout the day.

Carry it with you. Thats my suggestion I tend to puff it like a pipe, from one side of my mouth and then inhale deeply after 3-4 seconds. But I do the same as you, have a puff every 5 mins or so, unless I'm at work I then chain vape through my break When I say puff like a pipe, its almost like Im trying to get a cigarette re-lit without getting my lighter out again. If that makes sense.

The old ECCA will be dissovled and the new company format will be registered in the same name. According to the constitution it is up to the Committee Board to dissolve the company, not the membership.
The company will have a new constitution along with policies and a new business model.
We didn't take this decision lightly, but we, as the committee, felt this was the best way to move forwards in protecting the consumers, and to fulfil our new mission statement.
