Sigh...
So I'm thinking I have almost quelled my initial bout of shiny-itis (Fingers crossed I get in on the TZmax co-op)
I've bluffed the wife into accepting that an initial outlay on a diy mixing kit will be a money saver in the long run
I've watched more videos about wick and coil building than can be considered normal (For someone who doesn't yet own a mod)
Now Romelee goes and shows a top little set up to keep everything in
(And also manages to fit in an excellent tank tutorial)

This is a fabulous thread with so much good information.
Pity I stopped understanding any of it after about the third post.
I don't own a rebuildable of any description yet (Well I've got an AGA T2 but nothing to put it on) I've not wrapped a coil in my life.
This vaping lark is making me hugely ambitious with what's achievable

Looks to me that they have made it from all the bits they have left over after cloning all the other mods out there. Including the name of one!
I feel responsible as a few days ago I ask why someone hasn't made a cheap provari yet

I've just seen that someone has found a Chinese mod that has sneakily been called "Provari"
Ya gotta be so careful what you say around here -Never know who is listening...

Welcome Andy
I've been off the smokes for a couple of months and went through the same thing.
The one thing about cigarettes that I've not been able to copy is the consistency of hit.
There are so many variables in vaping that it does take a considerable amount of experimentation to find out what works for you.
This is what I've learned so far - Adapt your draw technique - I definitely struggled for the first few weeks as I was trying to vape my Jacvapour e-cig exactly the same way I smoked my drum rollies. By slowing down and letting the vapour do it's thing I slowly started to enjoy vaping. - I coughed up a lung the first time I hastily screwed on a 18mg tobacco cartomizer - Not only did it taste foul (And nothing like a cigarette) it was also too strong for me (Dizzy/headaches etc) - Fortunately I ordered some empty cartomizers and flavours some PG based and some VG based. I loaded one up with 12mg PG Cherry and I've not looked back. - I've also discovered that there is a whole vaping world to explore - Mods, juices and rebuildables.
Take heart you've done the hardest part and knocked the roll-ups on the head
It doesn't take too long to find a reasonably good vape and once the dizzyness stops I'm sure you'll find that vaping can be a rewarding hobby and not a life threatening habit like the alternative.

Boba's Bounty Grants Vanilla Custard Ectoplasm
A growing list of liquids to sample
I thinks I should tame my impulse to by shiney things and concentrate on something to put in them
Thanks for the suggestions people ... keep 'em coming

Thanks Robby
If I don't get in on the Zmax co-op I may just have to go for a vamo - I just saw the new vamo with it's swirly tube which looks terrible but the original smooth one could be ideal for throwing in my bag for an out and about vape.
I can't believe I'm still looking at new mods when the first two I've paid for still haven't arrived.
Well I can believe it and I'm loving the search for the next new thing.

In a fit of newbie vaper madness I've impulse bought one of these from an American site.
I was almost settled on a SS Vamo and vivi novas then late one night saw a $99 deal for the SVD with a free Smoktech Natural.
At the moment I've only got a Jacvapour cigalike and this is my first step into advanced gear.
Note to self Only buy stuff that's in stock - Having to wait for vapemail (And worry about import duty) (And worry more about buying from overseas) sucks
And now I've seen the Co-op on the Zmax which is pulling at me
Does it ever end?

As a newbie vaper the first $75 I spent was applauded.
The following week I spent another $50 which again accepted as part of my quitting the smokes.
The week after that I spent another $40, this got met with indifference.
The week after that I spent $140 and my wife went nuts! (Particular as this was a pre-order so we don't have anything to show for it)
I had to calm down and had two weeks without spending anything
Then I needed more carto's and juice another $30
Then I saw a great deal on juice and nic another $40
It's now been two weeks with nothing spent so I'm secretly planning another $70 to set myself up with rebuildable supplies and to get myself started on DIY juice.
So far I haven't told the other half anything, my daughter has done all the blabbing and I have tried to explain all the long term benefits to vaping.
My wife has offered long term forgiveness, which means I'm not going to be out of the dog house until I can say I've broken even against the cost of smoking

Thanks to all for the welcome - You're such a friendly and helpful bunch.
Batteries - Some good advice - I'll have to look into getting a couple of longish bolts to use as spacers - Would it matter what they are made of?
Flavours - I've been enjoying the fruits more than the tobaccos. I guess I'll spend more time looking at other peoples recipes and then go shopping.
I wander if there is a list of suggestions of flavours to try before you die (Boba's bounty pops up in too many posts for me not to be intrigued).
Perpetua - Co-ops look to be such a great idea (My bank manager will disagree) I think I'll keep an eye on what's going on. I've got an Itaste SVD on order which is my first big purchase so it's going to be some time before I'm in the market for another mod.

Hi there
I'm new to the forum and new to vaping. In the two months I've been off the smokes I have become somewhat obsessed with e-cigarettes and have to say I'm loving that it's so much more involving than just rolling cigarettes.
You guys are all too good a providing answers to just about every question under the sun so I've been lurking for a while but now I've got a few questions.
1) I want to charge 18350 batteries in an XTAR WP2 charger. It comes with 2 spacers but the battery still looks loose in the charging slot. Should I use 3 (Or even 4) to make it more of a tight connection?
2) I'm starting to build supplies for my own DIY liquids. Is there a thread somewhere that suggests 10 or so basic flavours that will give me a good basic set up. It seems that a sweetener is a good idea I'm wandering what else people use to add a little extra flavour to a basic mix.
And finally (I think I've gone on long enough for a first post)
3) Why haven't the Chinese been able to produce a cheaper copy of the Provari? In the short time I've been reading about PVs I have seen that they are quick to clone just about every other product but it does seem that the almighty Provari is untouchable.
