If you dont mind waiting on the slow boat from china, these at £3.75 for 50 are a great alternative to washing your bottles out and trying to get the dam water out of the bottle tops, works out at about 7.5p per bottle, just a thought. *vaping*

Get hold of a cheap lighter run it across the ekowool quickly you are going to use, no need to wash, also do the same with your wire, it removes the springiness out of it, also dry burn your new wick, you don't have to do this, its down to personal choice.
Change your wick when the flavour starts to subside or when you start noticing a burning taste, although I am no expert, I think this will point you in the right direction, there are so many nice guys on here who no doubt will help you.
