The ego APV V3 will solve this problem, and hopefully it can work better. Thank you for your advice. It may have redesigned tubes/screen, but if they carry on glueing them together without testing for electrical conductivity they will have a similar fault liability. I am shocked at the over use of hot glue I found inside mine. icon_prayYou are expert in this field. In other word, you showed your professional knowledge, and we admire that. Actually the APV V3 don't glue them together, instead, a screw is used. I guess the problem of hot glue won't happen again.

OK then 1/ there is a fault on some Vamos where they will stick at minimum settings - its not fixed by pressing any buttons. I cant remember how I fixed this one - I think it was poor body conx - see item 3. 2/ Yes there is a mode "no1" and "no2" - there is also an error code which is simply 02 which indicated either a low battery, a high resistance somewhere (see point 3) or a dead short. This is generally the rubber insulator under the centre connection pin - it looks from the top like an O ring, but if you take them apart it is a nylon sleeve that passes right through the top cap and covers the centre connecter right up to and over the wire soldered to its base. Ideally you want to take the top cap off and cover this with heatshrink - then put a small O ring behind the top between the pin and the screw fitting to keep it proud and make the connection to the device. 3/ The vamo can develop hotspots near the joints in the body - Remember resistance and sufficient power will create heat that's what your trying to achieve in your atomiser. I pull them apart and clean the joints with wet + dry then push them back together - it looks to me like there is some glue used to help stop them pulling apart at the joints and this is sometimes covering more of the joint than desirable - I don't use any glue when I push them back together, it should hold together well enough if you don't abuse it and you can always push it back again if needed. Apart from that he was spot on. I have to say you are really good at this, and I have a lot to learn.

Thanks markmI did think when I made the post that people had problems with their vamos that I hadn't, but I was trying to post something constructive rather than completely definitive. Apart from the problems that you mention, I am aware that people have complained that the chrome on the chrome ones isn't properly baked, so deteriorates. I have the stainless steel one, version 2 I think, and have not had any heating or shorting or error 2 problems. I am hoping that these problems have now been solved, but either way the more we publish about them the better. Though I'm not sure that a customer should have to take something apart in the way that you describe in order to make it work properly, however cheap it is. For the record, the only problem I have had with mine in 3 months of use is that the + button still works the same but no longer clicks. Of course I can understand that. As a customer, nobody wants to fix defective goods immediately after he buys it, me included. My boss found that some so-called defectives and errors are just due to their negligence of the user manual. That is why I quoted from the user manual. However, I found the user manual is far from helping users to solve some problems, so I have to learn more and help those who have problems in their use.

Legendgadget, I am sure you are doing your best. I got my Vamo from you, it was very cheap, I am very pleased with it and I am duly grateful. My boss got several complaints about the vamo problems, but he found the vamos sent back are not defective, so he suggested me to make some instructions to fix some "problems". I myself knows little about the hardware, and he didn't know how to express what he knows in English. I must learn more now. We always send a user manual. I may use the wrong expression. I'm here to take care of your needs and requirements after sale. Of course, I must make myself equipped with knowledge of the ecig hardware first.

Many customers tell us that they encounter the following problems when they use their vamos, so I'd like to give some solutions for them.
1 The wattage can't be reset.
Pressing the + & - together for 5 seconds switches between voltage mode (you can set the volts) and wattage mode (you can set the watts).
2 "02" error/ "Lo" display
The LCD display “n02”, which means RMS mode. When the vamo is in the RMS mode, you will find that the voltage can only be under 3 Volts, and when you make it work under high wattage,and then the resistance stays high. You can switch between "no1" & "no2" by pressing either the + or - key for 15 seconds or so, until it displays "no1" or "no2". Make sure your vamo is in "no2" mode before you first use it, and if it behaves oddly, check it hasn't gone into "no1" mode.

The LCD screen display “Lo” when the remaining voltage is under 3.2 V If one 18350 battery is used and when the remaining voltage is under 6.4 V if two 18350 batteries are in use. As a result, a fully recharged battery to replace the one in use can be a solution.
3 High heat in use
It is normal for the top of the vamo to warm up due to heat transferred from the atomiser. If it gets too hot to hold, or if the heat is at the bottom of the vamo, you have a problem. Some vamo users have found it necessary to replace the spring in the cap at the bottom.
This is normal when the atomizer is working. You can avoid high heat by stopping for a while after a puff or set a lower voltage.
SUGGESTION: Some electrical experts believe that it is unsafe to stack 18350s. Do not do it without researching it first.

Please read the user manual carefully before you use it, and this can help you avoid unnecessary trouble and waste of time.
