Just one word of caution, I found that the length of pin in the bottom of the head you pull out vary across different versions of vivi's, out of my 4 there are three different heads! Hopefully the one I send will be the most common

Other things that could be useful are, small blow torch, and also a zapper if he is into Nonres-res-nonres coils he doesn't have one. Big bag of cotton wall balls if he wants to try that for wicking
Or some better winders for his wires to keep it tidy, somebody found some in a sewing shop I think or you could get pole rig winders from a fishing tackle shop

+1 for the above, the difference is I use 2 or 2.5 silica doubled over, 4 wraps of 0.2 kanthal and you get between 1.8 and 2.1 ohms, or at least I do!
