Ok so had some peace and quiet so recoiled my protank head with my new 0.3 kanthal that arrived this week. Went for the micro coil and cotton wool from a ball. 7 wraps as suggested and 1.6ohms, awesome! Letting the cotton soak up that juice at the mo so chuffing on the rsst! The 0.3 is different to work with compared to the 0.2 but as expected more resilient so makes getting the cotton though easier! The coil I made up with 0.2 and cotton weeks ago looked pretty good, a bit gunked up but the ends of the cotton was still clean, although I had notice a drop in performance over the last day or so. Can't wait to try this with with dual coils in my Dripper when I order it next week! Still goto to decide but think I'll go with the Triumvirate as I think it looks cool! So thanks again for the tips and happy vaping

That is a very generous offer Romelee I would take you up on it as I have 5 heads that need recoiling, but with another 145 unused I will leave the space open for someone who needs it more than I do. If the five ones i do taste and work much better than the 145 unused ones then it might give you that incentive to make the 145 unused ones a re-wick by your own hands, you never know Or make an offer on the 145 new ones and pass them off as your own lol;-)

I was gonna do 10 members gapy360 but thought 50 heads, i don't mind re-coiling but 50 I know what you mean 10 doesn't sound a lot but then you realise 50 heads, damn I guess. You aren't doing non res-res-nonres lol, still fair play to you

Great looking coil romelee. Especially in that tiny space. Question for our resident micro coil expert Greigster. If i got thick wire and did up the micro coil. Would it be possible to pull some doubled up silica through the coil without damaging it? Or is it best to use cotton? Right i need to find a super cheap blow torch now. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 I haven't done it personally but I did see grim green do that on a build, or may have been Ekowool he used. Piece of kanthal as a " threader" also on a linkn to a vid on making microcoils with thick wire, on a post I put on the Modders board about micro coils

Excuse my ignorance, but rather than trawling through a very long thread let me just ask: are microcoils only for dripping, or is there something to learn for those of us who prefer tanks? I have one in my protank with cotton! :-D That coil looks great in the piccy, really neat!

Ok so now I don't have anything on order I'm getting itchy fingers ;-) so thinking about a Dripper. I have seen lots of people rave about the igo's and my initial thoughts were for an igo-w but.. I have just found one called a Triumvirate on grey haze that's looks rather saucey. Has anyone had any experience with this or been able to compare them side by side? Your inputs would be greatly appreciated!

Not knowing the device my only other thought would be if there are air holes in the side of the connection they are blocked. Sorry not a lot of help

Oh posh gear! I'm not that familiar with them, do they have any air channels in the top?
