So i have been vaping now for about 18 months and want to experience something new. To date I have been using initially vivi's and then a protank for the last few months. After debating a Dripper or a carto tank, I have plumped for a carto as it is a totally "type". So I am looking to you fine ladies and gents to suggest a good starter tank, carto (I've heard all about Boge gate) and a good place to purchas from the Uk
And any other advice you feel may be relevent Thanks

Lol, makes the question "have you packed the bag yourself" a little awkward!

I just thought I would post up my experience of flying for the first time with my ecig from London City airport to Zurich via Swiss Air and obviously I wanted to take me PV with me. So I have bought my vamo with Protank, spare head (just in case), Vivi nova (doubly just in case ) 50ml of liquid split 2x20ml of vapology blackcurrent (my all day vapeo choice) and 10ml of very berry ice in case iwanted a change. the 2 spare batteries (18350 & 18650) were in my zip vape case with the liquids in the clear bag with my toileteries just as you should! I have to say i was slightly nervous putting all my stuff into the black basket for the xray machine and fully expected to have to explain what it was all for and how it worked, i even had my speachall ready. And guess what, not even a second glance, i didnt even set off the alarms which is what normally happens! So here i am in my hotel looking over Lake Zurich thankful, and hoping the return leg is as smooth. In addition i have had lots of conversations with staff from our swiss office about ecig as they havent seen them before, so i might even get a few converts!

Ok quick update, have recoiled the protank, now reading 1.9 so happy the extra turns worked bang on! I have to say I find turning the kanthol on the wick quite straight forward, must be my rig building that helps. Have also put a couple of strands on top as without it I find I am using more juice for no real extra effect. I'm happy with the results so far, so thank you all for your help, your good deeds for the day are done!

Awesome robby thanks for the advise, all seems good at the mo still so maybe it was as the wick swelled slightly when it saw the juice the coils moved a bit, this recoiling lark is all a bit of a learning curve but I always say a day when you learn something new is not a wasted day :-)

Thanks peeps, appreciate the feed back. I haven't heard of the prob of the top post touching the coils I only thought the top wick was to prevent too much liquid getting to the coils. Still rocking at 1.3 but we will see how it goes today. Wasn't planing on such a low ohms it's just how it came out. I was getting 1.8 to 2.2 when I did this many on a my Vivi rebuilds, but I guess that's because there is less wire between the coils and the post as it's a bottom coil. Have to bear that in mind when I recoil again

Best thing for cutting wire and silica type wick is what's called a 'braid blade' from a fishing tackle shop or ebay. Cuts wick very cleanly with no fraying. About £5.00. That's what I use. Being a fisherman has the added advantage of being used to tie fiddly rigs so recoiling has been fine.

Not to hijack this thread but it is pertinent, I have just done my first recoil on my protank, used 2.5 silica, getting 1.4ohms reading on my Vamo. Didn't put a wick on top and seems fine. But I have noticed something strange; ohm reading jumped to 8.6 then back to 1.4, then went 9.9 (short) unscrewed it put it back on and back to 1.4. Stays there so far. Any ideas why? Is it too much juice hitting the coil as there is no top wick? (note to self put 2more coils on next time!)
