Good luck dc, I just started re-coiling/wicking and it is very satisfying the first time it all works, mine was third time lucky so don't give up if it doesn't work first time. :-)

At Christmas we went out for our carp fishing syndicate bash, went to a local curry house and asked them if they minded if we vape (there are two of us that do) and they were cool with it. Made me smile when the smokers had to go out in the cold for their fix and there is me and my buddy tooting away in the warm. I have to say it felt a bit weird though, it's been years since I had a nic fix inside!

Hi Andy, might be worth a look at Phil busardos YouTube vids. He did a review I saw on the rsst and made it look pretty easy, I seem to recall he said it was a good rba for a beginner. I can't talk from experience as I have only just started recoiling and rewicking my Vivi's but from the video it seemed straight forward, he also uses the pulse method to oxidise the mesh wick. Question can you pulse using a regulated mod? I presume you can as long as your ohms are high enough for the Vamo to work

Interesting they didn't picture any ordinary joes with their vape gear. Not that I would be totally normal mind :-)

+1 for the Vamo. I got mine from. Uk ecig Cabin. Toni sorted me a package of 1 18650 battery (over night fishing sessions) 2 18350 baths, quality charger (was £20 alone) also the vamo. No probs with the battery rattling inside as long as you have the new hot springs in the cap. Will prob get another couple of batteries at some point but with the three I always have something fully charged I now love my Vamo and and very happy. Just received the protank and and vaping in them right now, awesome!

Well done, now for a whole day off the stinkies! I remember when I got my first one, felt a bit silly but stuck with it, then disaster ran out of juice and bought. Pack of 10 cigs, they tasted awful and have never had one since, that was like 15 months ago and have never even wanted another. (I smoked for like28 odd years! Good luck and enjoy

I have vivi novas which are top coil. Just about to order a protank so can't compare although I've been told evod/protank give better flavour/vape. Not sure on the best price you can get on these

Quick update. Put a bit of juice in the top to test fire and my ohms dropped to 0.1. Is this a short ? way started again this time with 2 X 3mm wicks put on more wraps (about 5) put it on the Vamo and got......... 0.1. Oh well thought I, let's try again. 2 X 3mm wick, about 4 wraps and whack it on the Vamo, and 1.9ohms, test fired and still ok. Banged some juice in the tank and voila awesome vapour, good taste hopefully this will be even better after I run it in. And vaping like a dream. Tried it at 7wts to 9wts, it's definitely a cleaner vape though. So tomorrow I'll try and build the rest of my old attys I have about 9 so should improve with practice.

Omg. I've only gone and bleedin' done it took about 5-10 mins. 1 coil and wick. Put the atty together again banged it on the Vamo and checked the ohms. I'm expecting to see 9.9 and what do I get, 1.6ohms! Not bad for a first attempt. Prob need to get another wrap on to bring it up but very happy with that. I'm looking forward to filling her up and vaping my own made coil/wick. All I can say to anyone nervous about having a go is have a crack, it's pretty easy. Get in!

if you ever want to know how much wire is needed in your wraps - just put a multi meter on the wire - move it along until you are getting the ohms you want and the section between your probes shows you how much wire you need in the coil. That's is an awesome tip markm thx. Only flaw at the mo is I don't have multi metre! Bought my Vamo for the main purposes of finding out the ohms on coils and also the protection with this recoiling in mind. Saw the post of the multimeter on ebay on here yesterday so this could be the excuse I need to get one.

Hi Des yes I read this one yesterday as partof my prep and I have also watched Mr Phil B's you tube as well (a number of times now lol) it was really helpful, just 1 question is the mini torch essential and where can I get one, Maplins? I do love a gadget, especially tools, must be why I love this vaping lark
