I use absinthe in a blend I mix for my wife,
Anyway I mix it by the ltr and as you mentioned this also loses its zip after a while so we store it in the fridge and decant 60ml @ a time,
This mix is best when freshly mixed as you can pick out the different flavours but when it's steeped it loses its edge,
So life in the fridge slows the steeping, this may or may not help but it Works for us,

He didn't lie to you....it's true......most good custards contain diacetyl. What the vaper of 6 years obviously then failed to tell you......is that it's in far less quantities than it is in cigarettes. The whole diacetyl thing was a tactic dreamed up by the anti- mob as a way to demonise vaping. In a nutshell........it's a crock. One other thing I will add in that I recently read ( can't remember where sorry) Is that there has not been a single case reported of a smoker that has developed popcorn lung, So if this is the case and it's true it's doubtful It would happen from e-liquid as it contains far less then a cigarette? If you look round the forums you will find plenty of threads on this subject as its been very heavily discussed as you have probably guessed ;0) If you use facebook and want to discuss with someone who knows far more than I do There is a guy called Konstantinos Farsalinos Who has done more research on the topic than most, he goes all over the world discussing this issue amongst others,  |

The blackening or gunking up wicks is usually Down to natural sugars In the liquid,
The higher the natural sugar level the faster the coils gunk up,
NETs naturally extracted tobaccos are usually the hardest on coils, then the VG heavy very sweet juices, (elements as an example)
Iv also noticed if I use too much concentrate % wise in a DIY mix or am heavy handed with the EM it can have a bearing on how quick the coil sugars up,
