Well done sir! I am a heavy smoker of 25 years and had no real intention of giving up. I came across vaping quite by accident as I was researching something else and thought I'd give it a whirl... Of course I liked the idea that I could "stealth vape" at work and other places where I could no longer smoke! Six months later, I am enjoying this as a new hobby and have learned a lot, especially from the good people on this and other forums. My first few days, I had a few vapes in between smoking, then for a few days it was a few smokes in between vaping. Then I felt like I had to try every device and juice that I could find and the smokes got set aside. A few times, in moments of despair or angst, I've reached for the smokes but every time I've put it out long before finishing it. The fact is that tobacco tastes disgusting. Never mind the health risks, it simply stinks. So I'm happy to say that I have no desire to smoke any more and my family and my lungs are all happy about that development.
Best of luck with your vaping journey!
J.

I've been off the smokes for six months now apart from a few occasions when I gave into tempatation. This was usually the reason I did, that everything tasted like s***e no matter what I tried. I tried different juices, different voltages, different devices etc but some days nothing worked at all. There were, in fact days when it caused me a severe amount of anxiety. Then the next day or two, everything would be fine again, with the same juice, same set up etc. I can only guess that it is to do with the sense of taste and not the vaping process itself. Mint does indeed seem to work great for cleansing the palate and a good mouthwash or tongue scrub as has been suggested here. I did give in a few times in frustration and had a good old reliable smoke of my favourite tobacco, knowing that it had never let me down this way. I questioned how I could ever have thought of leaving it when it had always been so good to me, always there when I really needed it. How could I have ley this new-found habit take the place of tobacco, my childhood sweetheart??
So I smoked, and every time I did, it tasted like s***e too! Haha!
I don't think it should be thought of as any kind of "failure" if you have a smoke, although I don't want to encourage it. Hopefully you'll realise just how crap it tastesnow that your taste is changing to a more natural state.
Try the menthol for a while and then go back to a favourite juice. Best of luck and don't let the terrorists win!

Aah that's funny! I was beginning to think I had imagined posting here earlier Then I saw the other replies and decided not to interfere. GunJack to be honest, the stands above from Vaping Vault look nice and realistically I doubt if I could make one for less than that price, but let me know if those aren't what you're after j

I had a LOT of trouble getting mine to wick right... At the minute though its working great using the micro coil and cotton method tha greigster posted on this forum (Thanks again) I used .2 kanthal as normal and about 8 or 9 wraps for 1.9ohms Best of luck.. Mine nearly went through the window last week after I used about a metre of wire and wick of all shapes and sizes and configurations and wasted a LOT of juice too. I just couldn't get it right for a long time j

Fasttech is like the crack cocaine of the internet websites. I just can't stop buying! I just made an order for the "I-Atty", the clone of the Z-Atty Pro. It's been getting some good reviews and I wanted another Genesis atomiser to experiment with besides my RSST. Lets hope they dont start selling crack cocaine too, or we'll all be screwed!

I saw this earlier.... made me giggle I wonder is it a) a well executed conspiracy by the manufacturer to get back at Fasttech b) Fastech trying to pull a fast one or c) a mistake. I'd opt for c.. but I think business acumen is a strong point with Fastech and making mistakes like this won't happen often j

Just tried a microcoil on one of my Spheroids, 7 wraps of .25 Kanthal using 1 mm. Ekowool pulled through the coil but it is either being choked by the coil or it is just not wicking fast enough. Removed and started afresh, again 7 wraps .25 Kanthal and this time with cotton wool, came in at 1.8ohms. Pulled it through the coil with enough length to twist to make it more string like but held the wool just above the coil as I wanted that part to remain fluffy, then formed a rough loop and shoved it up to the filling. Never really expected it to work as I thought the cotton wool would fall away from the serra/Jewel filler but to my surprise it is vaping like a train. The most noticeable thing I have found with the Microcoil and cotton wool has got to be the flavour of the juice. The taste of my ODPVC, Thealchemist`s coconut ice and my Pixiejuice Choc Chip Ice Cream have never tasted quite this good even with Ecowool. Cotton wool definitely gives a much cleaner taste. Have ordered some .30 Kanthal from The Vape Mesh company to try and I will also order some Bamboo wool as advised by Chris above. I've just copied what you described greigster, seven wraps of .25 .... I used a 2mm screwdriver to wrap around so it came in at 1.9- 2 ohms Teased through the cotton wool about the size of a match ... lightly rolled up. This is beautiful! I am having double love for vaping today.. Spheroid and this set up. The flavour is immense and there's plenty of vapour for a 2 ohm coil. I have some .30 coming in the post as well, hopefully tomorrow.... Oh God.. When will it end?? Hehe Thanks again j.

Oohh just saw these replies. thanks everyone, yes I was looking for a belt clip type thingy, switchand Fallen Angel I like that idea .. I was looking at magazine clips as well which might work but I wanted the right size and shape exactly which was a problem. Perpetua and dave, I'll check out pinheads stuff now thanks for the link Here's the one I ended up making myself for a few quid's worth of material from ebay (with enough to make a couple more left) Not sure about the skull accessories though.. think I got a bit over excited at that stage

I like this idea a lot. Now ... who is going to build a device for vaping cakes? Just a thought, no way should anyone ingest nic though! Flavouring where appropriate is probably fine as that is emerging here, but that's absolutely as far as it should go! Oh and I got a device for it already, it's called an oven! I bet some of those baking sessions could smell amazing! LOL Just another thought... No one should be sticking ther head in the oven to vape cakes either.. no matter how good it smells j
