So, the flavours most of us use come from cooking as I understand things. Is it still safe to use them that way or are they specifically tweaked for vaping? I'm mostly wondering about using sweetners in cakes. I do miss cakes! So if I can use them safely then I'd like to! Does anyone here happen to know for sure? ??? EDIT, Sorry folks I had to edit the title, clearly the heat has me on the ropes today! LOL

Not sure but the last time I made a cake I had run out of vanilla essence so grabbed some vanilla from my flavours. I'm still alive! Lol

Ancient Hermit - I would guess that you'd be fine putting these in cooking, especially cakes They vape nicely as well.

CCW, Capella and LorAnn are still sold as food flavourings so I don't see a problem with those, as for F'Art, PA etc. I can't see too much problem although they may be a bit more intense, RY4 Fudge Brownie might be interesting. Dave

Mostly I was thinking about the PA Sweetener and others like it if I can find them. I'm a diabetic, but like cooking and especially making cakes. If I can get the sugar out of them, then I could have at it more or less guilt free! Actually the flavours could make for some fun too as suggested! I'm just starting in mixology and don't yet have any sorts of flavours in stock, but will in a week or two I hope, but if anyone else fancies trying it out too then we could have even more recipes to swap than normal! LOL Could be a big hit at meets I suspect!

I like this idea a lot. Now ... who is going to build a device for vaping cakes?

Check on stevia I am sure its sold for diabetics. Ancient HermitYep get some stevia. I'm sure Perpetua or Karma is diabetic, and happily uses stevia. As they're both tagged, I'm sure the main culprit will be along to give you a definitive answer.

I liked your post because it seems you and I had the same take on that, and I am glad to know it's not just me seeing it that way! It can be hard to be reasonably certain of anything when you're a newb like me!

Ethyl Malitol is used in a lot of low carb 'sweeties' - but beware of its laxative properties if used in food - been there, done that, and you really don't want to know about the t-shirt I can see me trying some of my flavourings in coffee (hazelnut, chocolate?), and also in cream (I'm on a low carb diet) to make a kind of faux ice-cream (lemon meringue pie cream, yum!). Hmmm - must try this!
