Thirty years a smoker and I loved it. Filter tips for half of that and roughly an ounce of baccy per day for the remainder.
Four days after my first cigalike I stopped using tobacco. Within a week of using the cigalike I graduated to my beloved Riva 1100 kit and haven’t looked back.
Eleven months down the road without once wanting tobacco. Still can’t believe it.
Extract of a recent conversation with my GP at an annual check up;
Dr. - Still smoking? Me - Yes and no. Electronic cigarettes and then into vaping. Dr. - Aren’t they marvelous? Me - (A rather stunned) Yes. Dr. - Tar is the killer. Nicotine is no more harmful than caffeine.
Dr., to my shock, writes in my record I’m now a non-smoker.
Apologies for any spelling and grammar mistakes. It’s late and I’m old.

The best explanation I have is that we’re now using a considerably more efficient delivery system.

I have E-lites to thank for ending up here. Immediately they worked with me. Had no desire to reach for the rollies after just a few puffs on it. Firstly bought some prefilled cartomizers, but was appalled at how little time they lasted (along with the shocking battery life). Went back to Google and ended up here.
Ordered the Riva and smoked the Golden Virginia I had left until it arrived. 3 days into the Riva and I had no more rolling tobacco and not the slightest inclination to restock.
Happily I was able to pass on the E-lites to my oldest friend (another 30 year smoker). He’s still having the odd analogue ciggy, but now he’s on 10% of his previous totals.
I’ve no idea where the MHRA got their figures. Certainly doesn’t look to me that they actually talked to any vapers.

Their website says prescription only.
Perhaps try to charm the pharmacist at your local?

It was a ready made I bought, but I figured the brilliant minds in here might have some rescue methods none the less.

Thank you again, Romelee, but it's a try anything rather than throw it out deal for me currently. I won't hold you to it. I appreciate the suggestion.

Kbee,
I'm not even a fortnight into the whole vaping experience so my e-liquid collection is little more than the previously mentioned RY4 and a very pleasant Gold & Silver B&H Taste-a-like.
Romelee,
Thank you. I'll get some ordered.

I’ll start on the positive. This experience has shown me considerably more of my taste buds survived the thirty year hammering my smoking habit provided than I’d given them credit for. Tobacco with caramel and vanilla sounded perfect to me as a long term lover of both tobacco and pretty much all things sweet. Reading many favourable reviews convinced me to make a 30ml purchase. (Taste is of course subjective, and with that in mind, I’ve no intention of naming the retailer I purchased from since the service I received on this and other orders has been first class.) I strongly disliked the taste. Left it to steep for 7 days and disliked it further still. Romelee mentioned in another post he found steeping simply increased the perfume content to an unvapeable level. That’s precisely where I’m at. My hope is one of the resident mixology magicians here can point me toward some rescue options. I’d guess a concentrate of some form, but wouldn’t have a clue where to start. I’m not a huge fan of menthol, but if it’s the only rescue option then suddenly I’m a huge fan after all. G.

Just saw that very story on the BBC. Sad news indeed.
I've read most of the works Mr. Banks published and I'd happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading fiction.

You're welcome, but it was as much to teach myself a little BBCode too.
