I saw this debated on one of the US forums early last year, can't remember which one though, and it was reckoned that 30% - 40% is burnt away by the atty/carto before you get to inhale anything, which means that only around 65% is actually inhaled.
Weather or not this is true, is I think debateable. But then it was also reckoned that the ammount exhaled was miniscule, around 2% -5%, which isn't a great deal if true.
I suppose the only way to really know would be for some boffin in a lab to have someone exhale some vapour into some machine that can measure the nicotine ammount.
However as most cigarettes are around 18mg (1.8%) and that you would only have one every half hour or so, there may well be some truth to the above as there are those who vape 36mg (3.6%) continuously throughout the day without feeling nauseus.
I vape continuously throughout the day at 20mg and feel fine, I certainly couldn't have smoked in this manner, so perhaps there could be some truth to it, who knows.

You should keep your juices stored in a cool dark place as light and excessive heat can affect the flavour.
However if your settling down in front of the TV for the evening then just keep the juice your vaping shaded.

And don't forget that once you fill it to let it stand for while to make sure the juice soaks right through.
I always leave mine for an hour at least.

Being an animal lover myself, I don't dismiss all animal experimentation as a while back I remember reading a post on UKV regarding cats and PG.
Apparently PG can have an adverse effect on cats, not by vaping around them, but if they get it say on their paws and then lick it off it can make them ill.
Doesn't affect dogs though.

I've noticed that as e-cigs are becoming more popular we are seeing the younger age bracket taking them up.
When I first started using e-cigs the age of users was mainly over 40 years, probably due to these folk switching for health reasons.
Now I'm noticing that there are as many under 40's as over 40's. I think those under 40 are perhaps switching due to the cost of fags, after all £7 a pack is scandalous.
Whatever the reason for folk switching I can only say good on them as it's the best decision they could make.

The flavour of a juice is not affected by the strength of the Nic.

I stuck 6 patches on myself one day and within an hour of starting work I wanted a fag.
I've also tried Lozenges (YEEEEUK), Nicorette Inhaler (chewed it to bits) and Herbal Cigarettes ( don't smoke these near other people as they really do smell quite unpleasant).
It wasn't till I went for Hypnotherapy that I was made to realise that half the battle of stopping smoking is dependant on you wanting to stop. As my Hypnotherapist said to me.....
"there isn't a Hypnotherapist in the world that can help you stop if you don't want to yourself, it's not enough just needing to stop, even if for health reasons, youv'e really got to want to"
As I didn't really want to stop because I have always enjoyed smoking nothing was gonna work............. Thank heavens for the e-cig.

STATEX isn't as concentrated as a lot of the other tobacco concentrates so you may want to start at around 15% to 20% and take it up, or down to suit your taste.
As Gordy says start with mixing a small ammount first as you can always add more flavouring but you can't take it away.

There are a number of things that can affect the taste of juices :
Milk, or anything milky like milkshakes, Baillies etc....
Spicey foods
Burning your mouth on hot foods, blow first.
Cold and flu medicines, also cough syrups.
Toothpaste.
Illness.
Stress.
Tiredness.
Just to name a few.
