I recall seeing those forum threads about the silica - should really get onto Snopes to make an article about it. It will always resurface though, and a valid question I suppose.

I`m less worried about any perceived harm from silica fibres than what was coming out of cigarettes - even though I don`t believe there was any risk from silica fibres in the first place - always was a bit wary of those claims.

Quite right Oneday, I totally agree.

I should say I don`t think UK vendors are trying to take advantage, but everything in this country seems to be just so expensive...compared to some other places.

I always hate having to say use this or that...it`s all so subjective....

But, I`ll say a good starting point is an "eGo" battery - a good tradeoff between size and functionality compared to cig-a-like sized devices.....
and an EVOD or Protank on top of it (I know there`s better options, but for a starter and to keep things very simple) (new users are pretty spoiled these days for ease of use I think)

people, feel free to disagree or whatever.....I`m just saying what I think would be simple for someone without getting too involved, too early....

and mix your own juice - it`s NOT hard at all, that will slash costs from the outset.....finding a preferred flavour is by far more difficult

Switching to vaping from smoking sometimes seems to carry the misconception that you`ll save mountains of dough - if anything, it`s more expensive at least initally....and get the bug for trying out things - a recipe for ruination

Find what you like and can use, mix your own, and savings can be made over the long term....the word cartridge in itself sounds expensive.
