My first wife was from Carrickfergus and I was married to her and her family there.
I'm betting that doesn't count though.

Hi all, I'm after trying my first mod; if possible I'd like to keep the total cost to around £50; if I've got to buy batteries 'n' stuff; but cheaper is fine. I'd like one that's robust, and that would be okay to stick in the back pocked of a pair of jeans; but robust is my main wish. I'm not too bothered about looks - but shiny is nice! Has anyone any recommendations? I've got my eye on this one: Little Gem www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=82But I'm sure there's more.

I've a Riva, but as a n00b, I don't understand the implications that you guys may (or may not) understand.
Is the Ego a more expensive (and assumed better quality) version of the Riva; yet it's been discovered that they're both the same item?

I have a similar problem with my pass through; some atties work, some don't; but all my atties work on my Riva.
With the atties that don't work on my pass through, the light on my powered USB hub goes from green to 'out'; but with atties that do work, it stays green (maybe the green dims a little). But as I say, all the atties work with my Riva.
Strange!

Have you tried a drip tip yet, Collie? I prefer them to carts.

Thanks, Jason.
I guess I'll just have to experiment!
Cheers.

I've noticed there seems to be a big difference in price for e-juice. On Amazon you can buy 30 ml of the stuff for about £5, yet on other places you could be paying nearer to £20 for 30 ml.
And as a n00b I haven't tried them all yet.
Do you get what you pay for where e-juice is concerned? I'm one of those who tends to buy cheap, and then buy the more expensive product that I should've bought in the first place (buy cheap, buy twice!).
I do it all the time! Sigh!
So, does the quality increase with the price?

Tosh, I'm really glad to hear you got your powered hub & loving the GDPT It's perfect for vaping at my desk; no batteries to charge and a great vape. Perfect! Though my daughter reckons it looks like I'm smoking a bong! I'm not even sure what a bong is, and I quizzed her how she knew of such things! She's 14 years old!!!! >

I've enjoyed reading your post, Curtis, and I'm new and also have a Riva and think it's fantastic. I've also got a Gary Dibley By Pass, it's like a cigarette lighter that plugs into your computer via a USB Charger (though it's best to buy an powered USB) and it gives a 5V vape which is brilliant; maybe even better than the Riva.
And what I like about the Pass Through is that I can leave my Riva fully charged and only use it for when I'm out the house; so the Riva batteries are always fully charged, and I'm not using them as much which may mean they'll last longer.
Anyway, nice to read your post, mate.
Tosh

Thanks both. I think I'll try the low res atomisers on my Riva first, and after a while (I've spent too much on this already), I'll get the 5v Mod: (I'm pretty sure this is the one deejay mentioned) www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=92I really like the vape I get from the 5V. Thanks.

When I ran out of my starter pack supply I vaped on glycerol from the supermarket; no nicotine; just glycerol. I got loads of vape, but it wasn't satisfying at all.

I've just started using my Gary Dibley PV from Liberty Flights with a powered USB, and it is fantastic.
It kicks in straight away and really gives a brilliant vape; it's better than my Riva (though I still like it).
I'm wondering what portable PVs give a similar vape to a 5V pass through? I'm not worried about style or looks, but I do like a good lungful of vape.
What PVs or MOD would you recommend?
