Was set at 8 watts, coil measured at 0.9ohms on my fluke 75 . battery did take a while to get it to fully red hot though so I'm guessing it's at the edge of its specs plus a little tired. Cheers Richie

Just having a play with some protank microcoils and dropped the first built one on the mvp2 to check ohms. Read at one ohm so fired it without thinking and it lit up the coil. its now (after a few dry burns) reading the coil at 0.8ohms and still firing. Anyone know how low it'll go? Cheers Richie

Does anyone know the size of the battery inside? Hobbyking uk does a few different sized single cell lipos one of which I am sure could be persuaded to fit . Asking as mine is starting to weaken and a little DIY soldering is not really an issue. Cheers Richie

Looking forward to this, your last build was very impressive. I do radio controlled model ( read toy ) aircraft and buy a lot of stuff from Hobbyking they do a huge range of lipo batt's at very low prices might be worth a look if space is a premium concern. link30 watts ? ffs! Second the hobbyking recommendation, they also do some decent small tools etc been buying from them for a few years now and they now have a uk warehouse so no customs issues and quicker delivery than hk cheers richie ps rc stuff are not toys they are miniature engineering marvels lol (2 450 helis 5 planes and 3 cars;) )

Whats an adjustable pin... and what duz it do? (sorry noob) It's the screw type thing in the top of the mod that allows adjustment for differing depths of atty base. you screw the atty on to the top cap then screw in the centre pin to make contact with the atty. at least that's my understanding of the idea- it's explained better in various mod reviews on YouTube tho. Someone will be along shortly tho to explain it far more eloquently than I can after being up 19 hrs for work lol. Cheers Richie

That Carvella clone is a very petty mod - I'm not sure how well it will perform with the aerotank stock coils, but it will certainly look pretty It's a shame they don't seem to do a set with all of the tubes (I think it's on fasttech but without the adjustable pin) as the aerotank will be much better with a kick, or on a regulated mod. They do one with all the tubes here www.vapegeek.co.uk/Hcigar-Caravela-87.htm got one myself and pretty impressed -has adjustable pin also cheers Richie

Looks a lot better than most I have seen- display all lined up etc etc- how big is it actually? Appears massive in the hand from the pic but always possible that you have the kind of sensible sized hands that make recoiling possible My hand span is about 10in/250mm so curious as to fit size lol. Cheers Richie (H=112mm W=60mm D=31mm) But can hold 6800mah Piccy was on macro mode so it does make it look big. Not as big as it looks then excellent, got an idea involving powdered anthracite in epoxy and a milling machine. Few trial mixtures in order then cheers Richie

So after 24 hrs I can report that the quality of the mod is pretty good . Obviously all the metalwork is mirror shiny and the laser etch does the boat, the caravela name, the button engraved and the signature obverse to the caravela logo Switch is very smooth in operation even with an off centre push. Locking ring is anti clock threaded and is spot on with no perceivable slackness in the threads. Same apples to the tube threads. Centre pin in head looks to be silver plated and is adjustable- the threading here is so smooth that it can be wound in or out by using a fingernail it really is silky. Not tried it with a kick yet or any fluke meter ohms volts or amp tests but 'seat of the pants' vaping on a mixture of batt sizes using a protank 2 (only as I had a variety of pre wound coils to try in different resistances) seems pretty impressive. All in all pretty happy for the bang per quid ratio. Cost me £35 plus the old p+p from vapegeek with next day delivery. Only downside is having to sell my paps 2.5 to cover it and buy another for myself as my daughter has seen it and decided she needs it more than me and that she will at least polish it- oh and can she please have 2 batts for each size of tube So cost analysis expensive when you have to buy 2 and 6 batts but in my opinion worth it(if only to keep my daughter off the stinkies) So in all a worthwhile mod as long as you don't have a 20 yr old daughter with a magpie eye lol Cheers Richie Ps will give it a few days of hanging around in the air to oxidise a bit then do a few ohms, volts and amp tests on it to see if the numbers back up its 'feel'

Mine also arrived today however I was concerned to find that my bubble wrap had no serial number. Was this an oversight by yourself or have others had the same issue? Will the serial be perhaps available as a retrofit option? Oh and thanks Cheers Richie
