The coils may not be making proper contact with the base- try packing the bottom pin of the coil section so that it pushes down further and makes better contact

Yes mate you're that far behind There's been a few Bluetooth mods over the months. I can just see Imeo spitting coils "Damn those Chinese!" Imeo already has his own temp control chip- called V.I.R, he's up to speed on modern tech

Only had it working an hour or 2 blakey and just with my ADV, got the preheat at 150 W.. BAM. Very good so far, but the fw is changing every week, the next one out you can swap the up & down button. The board is very compact for what it is, I have seen a squonker design that has semicircular sides and IIRC 80x60x24. Got a link to that squonker design? Sounds interesting

blakey that suggestion of cutting a slant on the plastic tube, makes fitting the bottle tube onto the centre pin feeder tube very much easier. Also using the base plug to position bottle in correct position also works really well. That`s sorted out my main problem, only now to sort out other bottles. Thanks blakey, so are a `star`. If you come across them bottles then let me know please, the only place I know that does them has been out of stock for quite a while and there's no sign of re-stocking.

29 guage I find gives the best all round performance thinner wire will allow for shorter coils if wrapping a gennie or similar or if wrapping nano coils thicker wires will allow for larger coils but needs some battery oomph to heat them quick enough
I use 29guage- 5 wraps around a 3mm former and that will give me between .09 & .12ohms
If I'm nickel wrapping a subtank for for clouds then I'll use 26 guage - 7 wraps on a 3mm former gives me .08-.10ohms
