Hi I have a new white subox which is superb looking but the base of the new tank seems a pile of shit. Has anyone else had issues with irregular ohm reading no atomiser 9.9ohm readings etc. I know its not the coils as they work fine in my older stainless base so I can still use it with this but I want the white one !!!!!!!

SaferciggieSounds like its not making contact with whatever mod you have it on. Make sure the coil is screwed all the way down as this presses on the bottom of the base. Is this just on one mod?

The coils may not be making proper contact with the base- try packing the bottom pin of the coil section so that it pushes down further and makes better contact

Hmmm, funny you should have started this thread. I just tried putting my lemo drop on the subox mod and it was flashing up the same ohm reading as yours, 9.9ohms, yet the subtank ohms reads perfectly on it, and the lemo drop reads perfect 1.ohms on my ipv mod This means I would have problems trying to use the lemo drop on that particular mod if I wanted to swap things around. Whilst typing this I tested out a clone subtank on the subox mod and that reads the ohms perfectly. Looks like mine just doesn't like the lemo drop atty Haven't tried adjusting the lemo drop's connection as I don't really want to mess it up and have problems when going back to my ipv mod.

Subtank base sumtimes needs a tap on the pin particularly if useing rba base. It's quite stiff and sprung 510 often cannot push it up to make contact.

Try swapping the atty 510 centre pin from the base that works into the White one, maybe the white pin is a little short

toots , the sub box has a very short pin. Very few tanks will fire on it as it won't contact the atties centre pin. Krakens, goblins, orchid v2, plume veil, pyro, doge, I sub, all these fail to connect properly to the sub box thus read at 9.9 ohms.

Same issue too, 'check atomiser' message comes up, particularly with the MVP3; all I've found out so far is that you have to really screw rba base down further than you think, as it's got extra insulation in the base, but then sometimes you also have to be careful not to screw it too far down as well, lol. Having to check with ohm meter sometimes. After that, working fine so far on Sigelei 150w and CF Maxx.

Short pin on the box? Is it spring loaded?

@sarinit is spring loaded but with very limited travel. A ploy by kanger to sell more subtanks which have very long 510 connections.

On this one the issue is definitely the atomiser base, the pin in this is a different size than my first ss subtank but swapping the pin out made no difference? this has to have a simple fix but its totally evading me at the minute, ggrr

try unscrewing the bottom of the rba and put a small o ring on the centre pin then reassemble. it should help extend the pin for a better contact. i had a similar issue and it worked for me

just a stab in the dark but if you think its the new coil heads that are the root of the problem try pulling the bottom pin and replacing it with a small oring popped on it to extend its depth a mm or so?? its this base pin that connects with the atty base +ve pin so if you can push the one out a tad further it will in turn push out the +ve pin a tad more perhaps??
