Robby, I've never used aliex. If it's lots of different sellers on there site, does that mean they'll be packaged and sent seperately by each seller ? Yes it does, but if you order three mods or more from the same seller (probably in the same package) it may make some nosey official flag it up for inspection. I`m just being cautious Ok thanks Robby, I've ordered 3 t-shirts from the same seller but I cant see that being a problem. Well I hope not as they come in at £3.50 each.

A word of caution, higher quantities than 1 or 2 from one seller might draw a bit of attention from customs etc, just sayin Robby, I've never used aliex. If it's lots of different sellers on there site, does that mean they'll be packaged and sent seperately by each seller ?

robby I'm not sure mate but thank you for bringing it to my attention. If the dimensions can be kept small in wood then this could be a serious consideration. I've a feeling though wooden mods will always be bigger like for like internals. Jay

My quest for a compact box mod continues. Initially I liked the look of this but, that 510 looks to sit quite proud of the mod and I'm thinking wobble wobble bye bye threads as it's not adjustable or spring loaded.

davetherayon sorry to hear of your woes, days like that can be testing. The little magnets you mentioned. I have a couple of flat tops that dip in a bit and dont like my vamo. Where are these available from ? Jay

I've not come across this one myself before but there are some members on here very clued up with batteries and electrickery. Have you tried another fully charged battery to see if it reads correctly ? Usually 4.1 to 4.2 volts fully charged. Vamos usually quit firing at 3.2v so was it still firing ?

I dont know how many people rely on a vamo to check the resistance of there coils but I'd advise not to rely on there accuracy. I currently have 3 V5 vamo's as my only vw devices as my hunt for a new mod continues (hint hint mod builders).
Yesterday I had cause to swap a vamo over , it's an OCD thing, anyway the second vamo gave a different reading to the 1st so on to the 3rd vamo and again a 3rd different reading. The three vamos read 1.6ohm 1.8ohm and 1.9ohm. Those differences for me and the way I vape are not major especially in that range but for some, maybe those going low and using the device to check coils it might matter quite a bit.
I'd like to hear other peoples experiences with vamo accuracy. I know they are an inexpensive mod but as it's maybe a buying point for some I thought I'd ask.

Chrissie after a year plus vaping I should know better really. I said to the GF straight away that's my fault entirely, well most things are apparently so I got in there first Jay

Hi all, I got into my car today and set off driving as usual when I noticed the smell of burning a few minutes into my journey. I looked down at an area of the centre consol I use for bits and bobs and there smouldering away was an old parking receipt. The GF grabbed it and disposed of it.
I instantly asked myself what could of caused that and realised I had an efest red 18350 in there as an emergency battery. I picked it up and blinkin heck it was red hot, too hot to hold for more than a second or two in the same place.
This battery wasn't in use at the time so I have a question. Is it possible having also chucked a bunch of keys in there that somehow the keys were making a connection between the positive and negative on the battery and caused this ?
