I don't do much fiddling so I have fewer bad days, but that said there are still times when stuff doesn't go right. Today was such a day - I got caught in the horrendous traffic coming home from shopping, I'd only nipped out quickly so had no spares with me and my atty had run dry. Then when I got home, atties that don't usually leak decided to slowly trickle out juice - I'm pretty sure I need to replace some o-rings.
To be honest, these days a few hours break from vaping is perfectly fine as I think my nicotine addiction is much reduced from my smoking days (but it is still there). The really difficult days are the (thankfully rare) ones where vaping doesn't feel satisfying - all my juices taste off or flavourless and I feel tetchy for nicotine.

I own a mix of clones and real items. Most of my originals are mods and atties that haven't been cloned (at least, not that I'm aware of) - Troy X, Gus Lord etc.
One of my favourite atties is the Heron, but I don't own an original just because of the price - made more of a problem because the clones are incredibly cheap. I'd never have started on rebuildables if it hadn't been for clones, but now I buy very little so anything I do buy tends to be genuine.
In answer to the original question, there will always be a market for high end stuff - but hopefully the trends in the market are bringing prices down for everyone, so we can all have high quality gear at a reasonable price. I'm sure it's not that simple - nothing ever is - but as an overall trend it's good for the industry as a whole.

I love www.vapingking.co.uk - I've not had bad juice from them. They're on the expensive side, but it's mighty tasty if you like sweet or dessert flavoured juice.

I use mechs mainly - I prefer tubes and I love my Gus mods. I have a DNA30 box mod that I use at home when I don't want to start a fresh battery, but it's very much a back-up device to my mechs.
For me it's about form and simplicity - they work perfectly with my favourite atties and give me the vape that I want and need to stay off the stinkies. I personally am trying to move away from vaping as a hobby, and more as a means to an end. It's a slow process, having collected a fair bit of gear over the past year.
I'm surprised that people feel VW devices have moved so far so quickly, but I refuse to catch shinyitis again to check!

A clean wick is the key to good flavour, especially with gunky juices like custards. I change my wick every couple of days, or when I see it starting to discolour. It's quick and easy on the atties I use (herons and the like), and cotton is so cheap, so I change it often.

I don't know which RBAs you've bought, but this is my standard advice: Have a read of this to start with: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/28652/beginners-guide-own-coils?page=1&scrollTo=518540Lots to absorb there. Then go to www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com and order your wire - for 2 ohm coils, I recommend you get A1 Kanthal at 0.25mm. It's cheap, so get yourself some 0.3mm as well, you will use it eventually I promise! For wick, get down the supermarket and buy a bag of 100% natural (unperfumed) cotton wool balls. It doesn't have to be organic, just make sure it's untreated. 100 balls will last you years, and costs a couple of quid at most. Now, back to Super-Shiny's guide for you - find the guide on microcoils, follow it, and make yourself a 2 ohm microcoil using 8-9 wraps around a 2mm drill bit. Wick with the cotton (keep reading that guide!) and enjoy the best vape you've ever had. As you get more confident, you may choose to build lower ohmed coils and use a mech mod. That's what the 0.3 is for, but save yourself the postage and get it all together. Good luck - not that you'll need it, follow the guide and you will be fine. Plus it's totally worth it, don't get frustrated, remember practice makes perfect so keep at it and enjoy the tinkering!

I'm late to the party on this - my new job and baby haven't left much time for... well, anything else! But I'm now over a year of non smoking, and it's largely thanks to this forum. So I'm glad everyone likes their presents and let me add a massive thanks to all of the mods, and Chrissie of course. Here's to the next 5 years!

I have a DNA30 box mod which I like, but I still prefer my mechs most of the time. I don't really use 18650s but any of the smaller sizes are fine with me. I don't tend to vape past 20w with anything, I'm not a sub-ohmer, so I have no need for the extra power of the new vw devices.
There'll be a market for both in the future I'm sure.

Thanks everyone - on further reflection I think buying gear is just getting back on that slippery slope to shinyitis! So I think I'll go to mrs lord and get something tasty, and enjoy my achievement with a family curry.

Thanks chaps... Rdna is not for me, if I was going to get the VS I'd get the smallest one. But as most of my atties work best as a hybrid it may be a waste. The rose interests me, but I've moved away from tanks for the most part. Still, its a maybe! flavourtank - as tempting as that is, it's not going to happen Richard46 - I don't have a backup charger, but if my nitecore failed I'd have one here from MyEpack in days, and I have enough batteries to last a postal strike!

I've found myself posting a little less over the past month or two, mainly because I'm always tempted to spend money when I look at the shiney stuff! icon_shoppingm
Still, in a couple of weeks I'll be celebrating one year off the stinkies, and I'd like to treat myself to a little vaping present to say well done. The problem is that I have everything I want! So I need your help. What is there out there that I'm missing? What secret gems have I missed?
I have great mods and great atties, I have juice, batteries and sundries to last a lifetime. I have a beautiful stand. The usual suspects are unlikely to cut it. However, I've not kept up with recent developments - but I do have a DNA mod already (and I'm extremely unlikely to ever need more than 30w).
So what should I get, and where can I get it? At the mo I'm thinking a Rose clone (if they're available in the UK now) or maybe a vaporshark. The trouble is that I'm worried I won't use them because I'm so happy with my current gear.
If I can't make a decision, I'll just get some celebration juice from somewhere...
Over to you!

Prices look good, but the grammar/spelling pedant in me has kicked in: No smoking sensation devices made me chuckle Still, sensations or no sensations, I am going to try not to be tempted by that slug clone!

I voted other: Because I use filler atties I can't see how much juice is left, so I top them up every day as needed. I don't vape huge amounts of juice - probably less than 2ml a day - so keeping them topped up ensures they never run dry. I just have to remember to change wicks regularly!

Juice will be my only concern, but I've started mixing now so just need to build up those supplies.
I have six mech mods, 4 RBAs, 2 RDAs, and 3 rebuildables that can work as a tank or a dripper.
Even if there is a ban, I've probably got far too much kit...

Hope you all have a good evening, I'll try again next time.
