I'm not sure if this guide (from trueVAPE) has been mentioned here before - I found it very useful, hope you do.

When I started I found a site that sold job lots of 5 bottles. You couldn't choose the flavours but they were all 36mg. I bought 25 in the end and it was about the best thing I could have done, as I got to vape things I wouldn't have dreamed of trying.
Favourites? Apricot, Cola (and I never drink cola ???) and strawberry cheesecake. Mind you, since you lot told me about Red Astaire and blackjack...

You're more than welcome, ausfost. After all... ...that's why God gave us Google And yes and no. I've got some 200ml glass bottles, which are ideal, but I've also got some recycled 1 litre PET bottles with HDPE lids (Lidl OJ with bits ) for the bulk*. Google told me it was OK to freeze stuff in them as PET and HDPE plastics are pretty inert - and who am I to doubt Mr Google's word *Boy oh boy, am I ready for the apocalypse!

I researched 'nicotine shelf-life' before (ahem!) investing, and the general opinion seems to be that VG base is stable for longer when stored in a freezer. This quote is from a US forum: Much of the issues around storage are more cosmetic, that is, it takes only minute quantities of nicotine-oxide to strongly color a liquid. Depending on the nature of the pure nic used to make the liquid, and the viscosity of the carrier, tobacco flavors may bloom over a long time where they were not present initially. Neither of these will significantly change the nic content unless there is a lot of sustained agitation, with O2 continually being introduced. Thinner liquids will yellow and change flavor faster than VG liquids, and cheap nicotine, which contains other tobacco compounds, will change faster in color and flavor faster than pharm grade nic. I am a chemist, and so I like to follow procedures that optimize preservation at new condition. My nic is virtually all VG-nic. I have 35 mg VG in the freezer that is almost 3 years old, and shows no coloration at all. Thus the nic content is unchanged, since it takes almost no nic-oxide to yellow a liquid. On the other hand, some 36 mg PG from totally wicked after being freezer stored for 2 years had turned orange, but it had developed the most wonderful tobacco flavor. Pity I cannot vape PG. It was delicious all on its own...but some would look at it and say YUCK. It was not because PG is thinner, since I also had some Decadent Vapor 54 mg PG (pharm grade nic) that didn't change at all in two years of freezer. Seems to be the nic itself. My two penn'orth

Hi ronaldo - is your PSU up to the job? I had to upgrade to a 600W (silent!) one (about £20 - 25 on Amazon) when I put in an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, which I bought 2nd hand off eBay for under 50 quid It runs Elite: Dangerous (beta) at maximum graphics settings, with a really good frame-rate. I am 1 happy bunny...

Hi BrenD - Have you seen the Zoostorm range on Amazon? Excellent value, great spec for the price, UK assembled and very good phone support. I bought mine about a year ago and It ticked all the boxes for me. Did I mention how good value it was?

Hi kevin21, There's nothing stopping you from boosting the flavour by finding/buying a concentrate and adding some to the brew. I bought some 24mg grape (cheapo ) and added orange tic-tac to it. It's gone from *meh!* to very moorish. That's part of the fun of mixing your own, varying the different flavours and ratios. ALWAYS keep notes, as there's nothing more frustrating than producing something really lush and then being unable to reproduce it. There's tons of help and advice (along with some nifty calculators to help you 'get it right') on the mixology sub-forum. Enjoy! (God, I *hate* people who say that...)

I thought it might not be very comfortable with an 18650 at the back, but it's fine. It's certainly bright enough for my needs.
