Hi robby, although that's a brilliant price for the i4 V2, I noticed on the FT spec list that it doesn't come with the 12V cig lighter adaptor lead. Now, for many people this won't matter, but if you'd find it useful it's probably worth spending a couple of quid more, like this one. I know it's had mixed reviews but I can only speak from experience: I've had mine for about 2 years and it hasn't missed a beat and (with my vaping habit  ) it gets used almost every day! One tip - pull the sprung contact back using a finger before dropping the battery in, rather than levering it back with the battery, as it puts much less stress on the contact. If you try it, you'll see what I mean. When it finally goes to Charger Heaven I will definitely replace it with a D4. I just hope the 12V lead from my current charger (pun intended  ) will fit it, as FT don't include it. Judging from the picture of the front of the D4, the socket looks the same, but who knows? ( ronaldo, maybe?) |

Well, kibbster, this paper: The Regulation of Nicotine Containing Products (NCPs) MHRA (12 June 2013) spells out why The Powers That Be want e-cigs regulated as medical products. For any vendor to make claims about them as an aid to smoking cessation simply plays into their hands. Not mentioned in the paper (of course) are the strenuous efforts being made by Big Pharma to achieve this, as we currently threaten their revenue stream. The vast majority of producers of devices and e-liquid cannot afford the required process to achieve that status, so they would go out of business. This would leave Big Pharma (and the Tobacco industry, of course) as a monopoly (duopoly?) supplier, free to charge whatever the market will bear for an inferior product  I think the point is that 'they' are still trying - vigorously - and we have to fight every spurious/ludicrous accusation thrown at e-cigarettes, equally vigorously! There is so much ignorance about e-cigs among the general public (and certain politicians!) and this is being fostered by propaganda attacks, mostly funded by Big Pharma and the tobacco industry. What 'they' will do, if we don't keep fighting and counter-lobbying, is impose draconian and inappropriate legislation on our little vice. My two penn'orth... |

I'm surprised he can remember it, jaysey. Usually the drug of choice for sedation gives you the side-effect of amnesia. Epidurals are great for post-op pain relief, BTW, often for several hours. Just glad he's OK. |
