I've got a Kayfun 3.1 on order from slowtech Steve (VapeStorm) , but couldn't wait and ordered that to feed my need for shiny toys, all I can say is get 2 they are awesome and by the way nothing has really impressed me so much before, the only unfortunate thing was I also got an Aerotank today and tried that out as well - zero interest in the Aerotank. By the way the super shiny micro coil guide is spot on for these, vapes brilliantly and is really easy. |

My Russian 91% arrived today from Hightectrading, the best £24.99 I have spent on vape gear by a long long way. Ordered it saturday night and it came this morning so a big  to Hightectrading, stuck it in the ultrasonic cleaner even though it seemed perfectly clean and couldn't wait to get the not so little blighter going. So rooted out the Super-Shiny guide to coiling the kayfun 3.1, thought it would be close enough, used 6 wraps (1.3 ohms) in a micro coil and organic cotton wool. The mistake I made was filling it from the top cos it leaked a little, but not much to be honest. Adjusted the airflow, let the coil soak screwed it onto my Caravela clone and WOW. I honestly thought I had got pure juice in my mouth there is just that much difference in the level of flavour with this thing it's stunning. Can't wait for my Nemesis clone to arrive from slowtech as I think it will look better, but at the moment I really dont care it vapes that well. A big thank you to all the people on here who have given me really good advice on how to spend lots of money on toys and how to get the best out of those toys and want to spend more! |

What fred said VapeKingMikes, have a look at super shinys guide to micro coils, had similar problems with standard coils in my mini protanks and evods, learnt to micro coil - clouds of vapour better taste, about 9 turns gives about 1.8 ohms perfect for protanks. Oh I get he odd bubble in them too when I fill them |

The tobacco flavour I keep going back to is joosejuice "Black Gold", I was a rollie smoker to wabbitwabbit and couldn't imagine vaping anything but tobacco flavours but I do now, but Black Gold is what I go back to if I fancy tobacco, a lot of others I tried are horrible. Oh they're cheap too, just google joosejuice |

I have that Caravela mod Dopey it is a really nice thing to have and I was thinking about sticking an Aerotank on top as I quite like the Kanger stuff, I was thinking of using protank 2 heads microcoiled with cotton wool to about 1.5 ohms as it's only got an 18350 battery in mine, then maybe get some longer tubes from fasttech and stick a kick in it. I watched one of Todds reviews at toddsreviews.com I think and he reckoned the single coil heads seemed to perform better than the dual coil ones designed for it. I might be talking crap, I'm sure someone will put me straight if I am.  |

Thanks jcol watched the video and gave it a try, the coil came out at 2.0 ohms which from what I've read is probably a bit high but hey ho, took a good hour to get it going and the taste at first was awful, but been vaping on it all evening and it's improved massively, maybe a bit low on taste but my first mech mod with my first mesh wick and some red astaire I mixed last week - quite a sucessful evening  Might just get like these mechs and rba's, roll on my Nemmy and kayfun clones from fasttech, just need a dripper now especially after watching Todds reviews and particularly the one where he makes a Toddoid out of a Phoenix and a bit of ingenuity. |

Thanks vapingbad that's pretty clear on batteries, I've been getting batteries off Torchy so he gives pretty good info on what he sells so I hopefully can keep within limits - good point about locking when drunk lol. can't wait to have a Play tonight if I can figure out how to coil the Genny

Shiny things arrived today  and have had some really good advice on batteries etc for my new Caravela clone but my next hopeful question is on how to coil the genesis atty that came with it. The coil that came in it came out at 0.6 ohms (not for me just yet!) got a couple of stainless mesh's with it and I can see how it was put together but was wondering if there was a dummies guide on the site for getting the thing working, it's in the ultrasonic cleaner at the mo but I can see me getting itchy fingers soon and wanting to try coiling it |

Thanks xs2man and erik514 so if I use IMR batteries that's protected chemistry so they are safer, good, I've also ordered a kick but didn't realise that they gave some discharge protection as well as variable wattage - interesting. I don't think I'll be bothering with sub ohm coils at the mo as I don't want to run before I can walk, about 1.5 ohms is the lowest I use normally. Does anyone know whether the Caravela uses flat top or button top batteries? |
