Anyone know why it's called RY4 ?.... I'm sure it's obvious but I've always wondered " Ruyan blend #4 E-Liquid was originally made by Chang Ning Dekang Biological Technology Co. for Ruyan Group Limited. The blend name 'Ruyan' is commonly shortened to just RY, with the blend number being placed straight after it, thus 'Ruyan blend #4' becomes just RY4.
RY1: Very subtle mixture of Tobacco aromas RY2: Taste dry tobacco, raw, with no sweet aftertaste RY3: Exceptional blend of tobaccos, slightly sweet taste quite indescribable RY4: Tobacco blend with the trends of caramel and vanilla "
....RY5: A bag of sugar added ....RY6: Another bag of sugar added. No but seriously - I've looked around and can't seem to get hold of either, RY1/RY2 although, 3/4/5/6 is quite easy to get hold of. I wonder if RY1/2 is just the Hangsen 'Tobacco' ?

Well I made up a 100ml 'sample' of this bad boy probably three weeks ago using the named brands of flavours, except I'm a bit wary of liquorice because some of them taste like well 'liquorice' so I only used 4%. First thing to say is that I now know that DV liquorice actually tastes of aniseed not liquorice and it's green, so top marks on both counts because Pluid doesn't taste of trad liquorice either. I vaped it for the first time tonight in the SnP tank you sold me Super-Shiny, and next to it in my iatty I had a tank of Pluid which I cut 100% with 70/30 pg/vg cos that's how I roll Both vaped at 9 watts on a 1.8ohm coil on silica so pretty comparable a build, same size ceramic and all. I've got to say Rommers that it's so very very nearly there! It is a proper good vape (provided you love aniseed of course) and so close, it's just missing that little something fruity or flowery on the end that I can't put my finger on, it's bloody lovely though and is going to save me a big pile of cash because I'll happily use it instead of Pluid. I think cos I've got so much of it to work with I'll take some 5ml samples and add a percent or two of some other flavours to see what comes out, I know you mentioned h2omg, that's a definite, also I'm thinking pear, pear drops, and violet might be in there, I'll have to see what else is in the mixing cupboard, a bit of tangerine maybe apple, any other ideas? Getting quite excited here for some reason he he he Would be great if you could update this thread, poochops. I'm adding a few bits to @super-Shiny recipe...ie blackcurrant/orange(arrr) lemon 'n' lime mix...etc.

My fav' Ry4 is, Hangsen. It was one of the first e-liquids I ever tried...bought it from barginvapour 100ml for about £12+postage- www.bargainvapour.com/HS_RY4_100ml/p1274299_7912784.aspxSince then, I now buy the concentrate and vape it on its own or add a smidge of hazelnut concentrate and/or a touch of koolada. If you haven't already - I would try the pre-made first, and see how you go on .

I use this site for my Hangsen concentrate. Service/delivery times are, excellent. Only wish they would get a few of the ones I haven't tried yet...'HS Storm' 'HS Delight' to name a few.

dave I think you are right about the Efest batteries. The other thing is - although the 'AW IMR' (re-wrapped Panasonic) is recognised as being the safest/better performing batteries, I think there is another Panasonic (NCR 18650PD 2900mah) which has been upgraded to an even safer chemistry, like the IMR - Now labelled 'NCR 18650 PF 2900mah'. There are a few companies, who do a re-wrapped version of that (or you can just buy it in its original state, from somewhere cheaper lol)... My AW IMR batteries, outperform my Efest's...longevity wise, anyhow - but I'm always on the lookout for something better/newer.

Primo verde...Hated it at first, but in the right set up, its grown on me again. I mix that at 7% these days. Cubana......... Some days I love it, other days - I can get bored of it (sometimes my coils look like the wifes cooking with this juice) - I mix this between 7/8% these days.

Found this, which was quoted from an article on a US forum, Make of that what you will.... ''AW are the initials of a man Andrew Wan, who owns a China-based company which purchases batteries from the big boys (Panasonic, Samsung, etc) and performs quality tests. Once the battery passes the quality tests, they slap on a sexy shiny red wrapper and add their AW label to it. The reality is that internally, a battery labelled AW and a battery labelled Panasonic, Samsung, etc are the exact same thing. Aw has just run it through a foray of tests. Does it make their battery safer? Not really. Does it help ease the mind? Absolutely'' For an extra piece of mind, you could get a 2c fuse (for your un-protected batteries used in a mech mod) www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Li-Ion-Batteries/Vape-Safety-Fuse.htmlLike others have said in this thread - Efest/AW IMR from a reputable seller, is the wise choice. Label/date your batteries with a marker pen when you get them. Every so often, inspect your batteries, look for dints/tears/scratches. If you have ANY doubt about it, chuck it - get yourself a multimeter(see below) - cheap enough on fleabay. Also, get yourself a good charger, xtar/Nitecore Intelli. Personally, I wouldn't touch anything with 'ICR' in the description. Anything with 'IMR' or Manganese in the description, is my preferred choice. Even so, as long as you're not vaping at ridiculous sub ohms(below .4) and you have high drain batteries and never over discharge your battery (that's where your multimeter comes in) - remember though, if your battery is reading 3.5V at rest, it could be reading 3.3V when its working its nuts off in your mod - so once your battery reads 3.7/3.6 then its time to stick it on the charger (and you will prolong your overall battery life). Disclaimer lol...I'm sure there are plenty of people in vapeland, using 'ICR' batteries and if they use them sensibly, then they should be fine but, from the research that I have done 'ICR' is meant to be the more volatile chemistry, whereas, 'IMR' is meant to be the safer chemistry.

Well done Clive - what with the trials 'n' tribulations of other stuff and kicking the stinkies, that's one hell of an achievement.

My fav' Ry4 is, Hangsen. I've got quite a lot of concentrate (oops!) and I usually add a smidge' of home-made menthol and/or Koolada. There is a lot to be said about steeping. After a week, it's ok. After 2 weeks>, its lovely. I vape it for an hour a day, in total - between mi' tobaccos and custards. That way, you tend to appreciate it more. That's the one I'm using just now, went for the 24mg strength but so far it's one of my favourites, well when I say one it's probably closer to the only one lol My tobacco mix of your recipe is coming on nice too though Nice one:). I do find in a dripper, it is a little too intense at times, so I much prefer it in a carto. Just a case of experimenting.

Just like to mention my positive experience, with this vendor. I ordered 25 kanger and 25 Boge cartomizers. From ordering to delivery - it only took a couple of days. Securely packaged/ boxed and they so far, work beautifully . Free delivery, too.
