Yeah my Riva 1100 batteries are still going strong after a month an a half but I have had to clean them as described every so often to keep them charging and functioning properly.
What kind of mods do you have in mind perpetua as a follow on from Riva type devices?

Hi Nicky, don't be down about it - I know it's been said before but if you're vaping and not smoking 1 or 2 analogues as a result that's a win and you should congratulate yourself for that not give yourself a hard time for the analogues you have smoked. There's some great advice above, I'd totally agree with the comments about the LR atomisers and cartomisers. Having tried LR cartomisers over the last week I'd say they're well worth a try and give a much better 'hit' than the SR ones. I had a couple of moments when I was away when I was dying for a fag because I wanted the quick hit that's mentioned above. I couldn't because i didn't have any one me so was saved that one and found 5/10 minutes of vaping some decent juice put that feeling to bed. I do think the hit from e-ciggies is very different to analogues, analogues give you a quick hit whereas with e-cigs it's more gradual (and I now find more satisfying). I always wanted more ciggies when I smoked, had one and I'd want another and what saved me from chain smoking at times was the fact (as I mentioned before) that I smoked secretly so couldn't disappear into the garden for hours on end, I guess one of the reasons I've found it so easy to switch is because I can now guiltlessly chain vape when I need to (and when the kids aren't around) and feel a satisfaction that I never got with analogues because I was always left wanting more of them - I guess that was the nature of my addiction! Anyway, as I use these forums I'm discovering that there are plenty of vapers who still have the odd cigarette. Some have given them up totally for sure but there are others who have maybe one on the morning and one in the evening and vape the rest of the day, some go weeks vaping and then have a couple of ciggies just 'coz they fancy it. I guess what I'm saying is it's horses for courses and there's no right or wrong way, just do what feels right for you and don't kick yourself when you do have an analogue just count the ones you haven't had and feel good about that. Doing that and not putting too much pressure on yourself I suspect as the weeks pass you might find things settle down a bit and maybe you'll even find you start vaping more and smoking less Have to ask the question here though, are you still smoking indoors and is your husband still doing the same or have you tried what I suggested and made the house a smoke free vaping zone?

Thanks bel I hope I never have another analogue too, although I have had a couple of occassions after not having vape for a long while when I've suddenly wanted that instant hit you get with them but I've vaped instead and ended up prefering the longer lasting pleasure of the vape. I'm kinda wondering what I'll do when my mates have a smoke when I'm out for a drink if I can't go near them so hopefully the reaction will calm down a bit! Hi Jemima and thanks I didn't bother explaining when I could do it reasonably unnoticed and people didn't give me any hassle. Some places I just avoided vaping to be honest although I do speak some French so could have made a stab at explaining - didn't want any potential aggro though! There was one amusing occasion when a guy made a beeline for me and asked me for a light after seeing 'smoke' come from my mouth and I started off telling him in French I didn't have a light and he looked like he thought I being deliberately miserable not wanting to give him a light. I then did explain (in French) that it was an "electonique" cigarette which he found quite intriguing but thankfully he didn't ask me any complicated questions!

I'm back (briefly) from my travels and the vaping is going well, had a nice rest and it gave me a chance to try various flavours and also get into LR cartomiser use, which beats everything else I've tried so far! The Titan Tank did brilliant service as did the Riva but the Tornado atomiser seems to have almost given up the ghost, not impressed by that after relatively short use but hopefully it's a one off and the next one I try will be longer lasting. So, I have a day and a half home and then I'm off to the Highlands of Scotland for a course for a week and then down to the south east for another 3 day course - no rest for the wicked but I have stocked up on my favourite juice (thanks Jason once again for sending so quickly and letting me have a nice sample too ). So I have some more samples to try (and others to retry) whilst away. Will post my full comments on the flavours I tried on holiday when I have a chance but 666 is still my favourite to be honest and I have to admit Whiskey Cream was good but not stunningly good IMHO. LR cartomisers are awesome (way better than the SR) so I think LRs are the way to go for me at the moment. Lastly I had a weird experience yesterday - I was standing in a street minding my own business and smelt smoking, it started irritating my nose terribly and I went into a sneezing fit. I looked around and noticed I was downwind of someone who was smoking at a distance of around 100 metres from me. Later on I had to move away from someone who was next to me having a fag because it was irritating my nose and making me feel queezy - I wonder if that's a temporary thing or if I'm starting to really notice (and dislike) the smell of analogues!?!

The closest I've seen to cards that actually explain the basics (and legalities) of vaping are the ones from Freedomvape as mentioned above, they're very useful for explaining the absolute basics.
rusty's CAM-VIP promo stuff is great for pubs too but they perhaps assume some basic knowledge - great design IMHO too.
Jemima I really like your design and copy which IMHO really gets the message across in a way anyone should be able to understand.
No offence to all the vendors who produce such great cards but I do think some cards of this sort would be excellent not least because people receiving them will realise we're not trying to sell them anything just trying to introduce them to the basic facts and a forum (this one) that will allow them to find out more and seek answers to their additional questions.

I'm away for just over a week now and not sure how often I'll be on the net over the next 8 days but have just received a package full of Griz's Pick N Mix flavours from Jason (awesome service as always, thanks Jason) so will sample all those lovely flavours whilst away and if not online before I'll post my thoughts when I get back - really looking forward to a nice sampling session whilst relaxing in the sun I also have some cartomisers to try (again thanks for the extra one Jason) and am taking a few tanks with me to use as well - have well and truly dropped using carts with atomisers (which I've only used for dripping recently) although I have taken a couple of spare carts just in case! Holiday hardware is: Titan Tank with spares (great for daytime use and good for stealthy vapes, which I do when the kids are up because I always kept my smoking a secret from them so it's a bit difficult to suddenly start vaping in front of them!), Riva 1100 batteries for use with tanks (TW Tornado atomiser and tanks) and cartos. Also have some drip tips for sampling and some spare atomisers for each device. Hopefully that lot along with the box of juices will see me though! We're using the ferry so I guess baggage worries are eased in comparison to flying but I hope they don't want me to unpack all the vaping gear and show them it's harmless - not least because the kids may be watching! Anyway I'll deal with the one if it happens and in the meantime will try to chill Cheers guys and if I don't post in the next week I'll get back online on Thursday the 18th - have fun
