Currently vaping a homemade brew called Atomic (lemon, lime, orange, aniseed and menthol) made by Simon at Saferciggie. Picked up a few of his new juices while I was there and they are pretty damn good.

I joined both one after the other as well as Liberty Flights forum. I agree that it is very friendly here! There is a wealth of really useful information for newbies like myself too. I don't really post on UKV and I tend to just steer clear of the 'flame' topics but they have some good info there too.
(I must admit I don't feel so self conscious about saying that I vape on an ego spinner and pro tank mini/Evod here as I do on UKV)

.....can anyone enlighten me as to why, please? As I've never had this before & when I say tight, I mean really tight. ??? had the same problem faulty base bought new ones from ivapour-elixer.co.uk air holes in wrong place new one solved problem hope this helps Same here - although it was from a different vendor. It seems Kanger quality control has gone down in the last month or so. I sent it back and they said the air holes in the base were drilled in the wrong place (they were inside the threads not just above as they should be) they sent me a replacement and when that arrived the glass tank was glued in wonky! Sent that one back too and got a Protank Mini v2 instead. I've not had any problems with this one so far. Also Grimmgreen mentions it here;

Hi davelockin, The intro video really sums up my feelings on vaping and vape gear in general. I do watch Todd, Vapingreek, Grimgreen, pbursardo etc but you hit the nail right on the head with the need for a 'newbie' friendly review.
I am using an Evod head on an Ego Spinner and I love it! I wish I knew about them when I bought my first kit as I would have missed out the whole CE4 thing entirely.
I look forward to watching.

Thanks for the welcome and sound advice guys.
So far so good with the not smoking thing, I think I will do exactly as you suggest and keep with the kit I have and save my cigarette money to buy some shiny shiny things at a later date (I will be keep an eye on here for advice on what and where from). One thing I have noticed though is I am getting thirsty more. Vaping seems to dry my mouth out a lot, not that its a problem as I have taken to keeping a bottle of water with me to sip. Drinking more water too can only be a good thing, its like a double whammy!

Hi All, I was browsing the interwebs for advice on maintaining Evods when I stumbled upon this forum. That was about 2 hours ago, I've been reading posts ever since! Thought I'd better make it official like and join up and say hello! I am still pretty new to this game but what I have experienced so far I am very pleased, well mostly pleased but also frustrated. I bought an ego starter kit, then a pro tank, then another ego battery, then a spinner, then some evods, then a vivi nova all in the space of about 2 weeks I got the bug bad heh. My days and nights were filled with dreams of RDAs and gennies and shiny shiny things. I was given an Igo-L dripper to try out and bought myself and Igo-S too. I was so caught up in acquiring new things for my new obsession that I almost forgot about the actual vaping side of it... Then I watched a very inspiring video by pbursardo, wrapping up 2013 and at the end he gave some sound advice. Something that really echoed in my head "don't try to run before you can walk" I realised that was exactly what I was doing! I was going too fast, getting frustrated that I could not get it to work like the pros (I had been building coils for about 4 days at this point). So I have decided to take a step back, relax and just learn to enjoy vaping for its own sake. It might be worth mentioning I was still smoking the odd cigarette at this time (even though I didn't particularly enjoy them any more). My last one was at 11.55pm on the 31st December 2013 and I don't intend to have another. This is something else I lost sight of, the whole reason I took the plunge. Something that I will remember moving into 2014. ~Adam (currently relaxing with an Evod+Ego 650mAh with a drop of Longbottom Leaf)
