yes, I will make the old version again soon but now I am making the new version erik. You prefere the old style? Yes I like the ceramic. I like the flavour and the vape from them and using no res wire is ok for me so would prefer the original version

Hi imeothanasisI wonder if you have any news about the Ithaca? I have been wanting to buy one for a long time but have never been able to buy one yet as they are out of stock. Do you still plan to make the old version with the ceramic insert?

My early guitars were cheapy jobs but I figured after more than 25 years of plonking away I could do better lol. Got the Jackson SL3 soloist, some mix and match and a lag summer acoustic then a couple of amps, peavey classic 50 2X12 and a little blackstar HT5R combo. The black star is a great sounding amp and Jackson's are always great. I bought a line 6 amp last year, fun to play with but the modeling isn't as good as it could be. Mostly I just use my iPod and amplitude with headphones these days, annoying the neighbours seems more hassle than it's worth as I get older

Sorry just catching up as I've been over on Justin's website, well you did point me there Some posh guitars on display there, I'm happy to plod on with my cheapo acoustic for now, ah pulp common people looks like an achievable target with just 3 chords. I learn the 3 chords this week with a target of playing the song in some form by next weekend. Not sure if that's a poor or ambitious target but I guess only time will tell. Now maybe I need Justin's songbook That's a great target, just take your time, don't rush it and don't give up when it gets frustrating (it will sometimes), make as much noise as you can and take great pleasure in it when people complain about it and your half way to being a rockstar. And with the right 3 chords you can play the status quo tune - same one every time they just change the words, throw in an occasional fourth chord and you've got the whole ac/dc catalogue, then add a minor pentetonic scale and you've got basically all rock and roll from the 50s to present day. There are lots of free sites for beginner tutorials, just search around and find what works for you. A lot of the best have had no formal training so your in good company

apostle51 what pickups do you have in the Ibanez? Been looking at the new 24 fret version but not sure if I like it yet. Either that or a PRS custom 24 is next on the wish list. Won't be anytime soon though but no harm in dreaming

Hope you realise that you are on the path to something hundreds of times more expensive than shinyitis. It's a dreaded condition known as GAS (gear aquisition syndrome) that not only leads to spare bedrooms filled with strange shaped cases and speakers, but also can lead to extremely angry letters from your not so friendly bank manager. On a plus side you can always play Money by pink floyd as he cuts up your cards and calls in your overdraft

There's a great site with loads of free lessons at www.justinguitar.comLots of really good stuff all the way from beginner upwards. Don't be in a rush, learn to play each chord clearly and practice changing between chords as often as you can. Muscle memory will take over and you'll find you don't even need to think about where your fingers go anymore. Record yourself and make things up as you go. It really doesn't matter if your compositions are any good, it teaches you what chords belong together. Sort of what belongs with what if that makes sense. Start learning some songs you are familiar with. It might take a while to learn a new song but the satisfaction from doing so makes it worth it. It also provides a push to keep learning new things. Most important of all is to just have fun. Your fingers will quickly harden up and you'll be able to play for longer.

Just ordered kanthal in 25, 28 and 32 gauges... and some 1.5mm and 3mm ekowool. Purely for experimenting with one weekend, see how different setups end up performing! I might still go back to cutting wool at the end of it! Ekowool is really good, it seems thicker than silica for the same diameter though. Don't wrap it too tight and it wicks like a champ

I really like the GG stuff. I just wish it wasn't all sold out so often, been wanting a Penelope for ages and an old style ithaka with the ceramic inside. Harder to get hold of than shark feathers.

If you like vaping mint juices try flavourart spearmint. Think softmints. It's good for adding to other flavours too, a touch of spearmint mixed with strawberry is very nice as is spearmint mixed with Joose juice caramel is also good. T juice flavours are quite nice although again not everybody likes them. Personally I would recommend t juice colonel custard, jack the ripple and red astaire. All worth a taste and easy enough to sell or swap in the classified section here if you don't like them. People's taste buds do change though after stopping smoking and can take a while to come back to life. Keep vaping and trying the flavours, for me it's a big part of what makes it fun

You'll get a years worth for under a fiver so you won't really save anything. Try getting a few thicknesses and see what works best for you. You might like thicker wire better, or you could try twisted wires using thinner kanthal to give you lower ohms.

Well, I thought it was good. 0.6 with bare bones but assembled kayfun, filled it and now 2.5 ??? Its capable and its what I'm used to but .... Reckon loops may be too big! Also make sure he screws that hold your coil in place are tight enough. A few times I've had a higher resistance than expected and all it needed was tightened up a bit. The size of loops of silica won't affect resistance but it might affect wicking. Just don't pack it into the channels and it should be fine

The first few builds are the worst. When I got mine I couldn't believe how small the build deck is and I thought I would never get it right. After the first couple of bad silica builds I tried microcoils and cotton wool but didn't really see the point. It seems to be more messing around and takes me longer to do and the vape really isn't any better I don't think. Few inches of wire, a bit of silica and just wind coils around it seems for me to give the best flavour and amount of vapour. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/36729/silica-kayfun-pic-heavy?page=1#scrollTo=638960

It made news at the time. Over 40 passengers injured, broken arms, legs, one with a broken pelvis. I've worked at sea most of my life and the video really doesn't show just how violent the motion of the ship would have been. Nobody is having a good time or fun in a situation like that. Crew tend to be ok most of the time as they are used to bad weather but for passengers with no proper sea experience it's extremely dangerous and in no way the entertaining experience some people think it would be.
