@alopezg1 - I have the mvp2 and can say it is a nice solid bit of kit. I also have mech mods and a vtr which use separate batteries; I use a nitecore intellicharger which I found well recommended online - it has behaved well for me. I also gather the Xtar VP1 and Efest LUC are good. I found this video really helpful re batteries and chargers: I get my batteries from: www.ebay.co.uk/sch/big_f_d_d/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=There are several threads on this forum re batteries - type, protected/unprotected etc - this one is full of useful bits: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/36910/mechanical-modHope this helps - it's a start anyway. Good luck with your battery research!

Thanks for the heads up Magsvape - also thanks to babs for linking to this thread (I saw it in a newbie thread where she was helping with a recommendation for the mvp). Have ordered 2! - they will be my on-hols kit so I don't have to travel with batts and charger etc. I'm not sure - but I think I now no longer need to buy anything but juice... oh - and batteries... hmm ... and wire... but no more "big" stuff lol. Thanks again

decoy - it also may be worth looking at the astro - I have ordered a couple of astro clones from fastech (not due to arrive for awhile yet!) I have a nemmy which is really nice in 18350 mode but I didn't want to risk it for out and about, so was looking for something cheap and decent that I wouldn't mind losing (well not too much anyways) www.fasttech.com/product/1467000 - astro mixed www.fasttech.com/product/1622600 - astro SS they seem to have consistently good reviews. Was also considering the atom www.fasttech.com/product/1570901; although there were lots of good reviews there were a couple of mentions of cuttingly sharp threads and loose centre pins - so I decided to pass! I think size wise in 18350 mode its nemesis>astro>atom. Having said that I gather they're all pretty small so there is prob not much in it.

Thanks @purple1234 - nice photo I think I'll invest in the nano kit for the GT when it comes out - hope it looks as nice as the kayfun nano kit! Meanwhile its just the long wait for the astro to arrive from FT...

@purple1234 - what topper do use use on your astro in 18350 mode? I have a nemmy and taifun gt for at home but have an astro en route from fastech which I plan to use in tiny mode for out and about - was thinking of just using an iclear 30s but just compared it to the GT - about the same size i.e BIG! Or is the astro so small in 18350 mode that a big atty is still ok for carrying about?

Thanks Brambles & Perpetua - that's reassuring Will order a few, safe in the knowledge that when I finally pull my finger out the concs will be ok!

Hi again - minor thread resurrection! Was going to order some Caramel Blend from Joose Juice but they are out of stock so was going to get some concentrate instead. As with all shopping, things mounted up - you know the story - must order more to make postage cost efficient... oooh yes can use discount code for concentrates so should order more etc... Before I press the buy button on a possibly daft shopping basket I was wondering how long concentrates can be stored in the fridge? Taking Brambles warning on board about certain flavour concentrates being affected below 5C I reckon I'll avoid the freezer! I still haven't actually mixed anything yet .... got sidetracked by sorting out first rba and coiling etc (that was good - another step taken ) If you can't store concs for long, then fair enough - I'll hold off buying more until I know I'll actually knuckle down and do it! Just didn't want to waste good flavours by buying in a flurry of enthusiasm then losing them due to extreme procrastination Thanks

Hey - GT cleaned and built with coil and cotton (first coiling attempt ever!) as per Super-Shiny's guide. Had a couple of numpty moments - best one was forgetting to pull the "gate" round the build base back up so the chimney didn't connect to the top of the deck ... wondered why it was gurgling and leaking lol ... still got a good vape out of it though All connected properly now - just need to practise my coiling a bit to get lower than 2.6 ohms! Thanks all - I'll be careful with that vodka

Thanks Scooby - hadnt even thought of soda crystals - nice one. Meanwhile the other half had a revelation for me - we have 25 year old bottle of Smirnoff at the back of the cupboard - 99% full. It even moved house with us! My gear is now having a nice alcoholic soak
