Rather than putting in one large order with FT, split it across several small orders to keep the value of each one as low as possible. This will reduce the chance of you being hit with vat (and something like an £8 handling charge) if the parcel is inspected by HM Customs when it arrives in the UK.

I'd guess that the value of the order will almost certainly mean that vat is payable so I suspect it'll probably be down to luck and how miserable the customs officer is feeling that morning.

I believe that retailers wishing to sell direct to consumers in other EU states (where permitted) need to have been accepted onto each country's cross-border sales registers but that products themselves don't need to be re-notified in each and every country. So theoretically it would currently be legal for UK consumers to buy >2ml tanks from French or German retailers even though it would be an offence for a UK retailer to sell the same item. I've also heard (though I'm waiting for confirmation) that under the German implementation of the TPD, mods without atomisers / tanks also require their own EU-CIG notification which makes absolutely no sense to me...

If I understand the situation correctly, it's against the law for Icelandic retailers to sell juice containing nicotine over 9mg/ml.
Far from seeing sense, they've voted to maintain more rigid, less vape-friendly regulation than even the TPD.

Hey, Yeah straight from the get go it says who were consulted: (2) In its reports of 2005 and 2007 on the application of Directive 2001/37/EC the Commission identified areas in which further action was considered useful for the smooth functioning of the internal market. In 2008 and 2010 the Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks (SCENIHR) provided scientific advice to the Commission on smokeless tobacco products and tobacco additives. In 2010 a broad stakeholder consultation took place, which was followed by targeted stakeholder consultations and accompanied by studies by external consultants. Member States were consulted throughout the process. The European Parliament and the Council repeatedly called on the Commission to review and update Directive 2001/37/EC. Ok there's too much for me to go through right now, but I will try and uncover who was consulted - if anyone is interested? Also who is the regulator in the UK for these products? I suspect that stuff is about TPD v1 - the EU regs concerning vaping are (mostly Article 20) in TPD2. The UK Dept of Health held a limited consultation about the various options delegated to member states but all I can find now is the government's response document [direct link to pdf file].

RDAs have always been covered by the TRPR definition and - due to the decidedly un-leak-free refilling process - I suspect they're unlikely to gain 'approval' to be sold (but I'll be happy if it turns out I'm wrong).

Some categories (mostly one-shots not made by Chefs) are exempt - code AAEC will get you 10% off all the others.

How did you find those scales from FT, Get Off My Cloud? Does drawing power via the micro USB (rather than batteries) over-ride the 3-minute auto shut-off?

Not quite the same as jumping on others recipes But a number also attempt to gain control of common words /product name use in the sale of e-liquids. For example applications have just been published for Trade marks in section 34 on the words Nic Shot ADD NIC SHOT Nic Shots nicshots Might not stand much chance as attempted ownership of the words/product name "nicotine shot" was recently turned down. Which company is trying to claim the right to those terms? Found 'em... "Nico Shotz" (approved) - Vape.A.Box Ltd - www.vapeabox.co.uk"Nicotine Shot" (refused) - Blue Label Vapour (aka DarkStar) New applications: "Nic Shots", "Nic Shot" and "ADD NIC SHOT" - Bowman Specialised Liquids Ltd (they wholesale the Britannia range of juices to vape shops) "nicshots" - Orvap Ltd (Mel Blakeley, who also owns nicshots.co.uk, eliquidbottles.co.uk and a load more)

TPA declare the chemical components of their flavourings (unlike most other manufacturers) and - although I'm no chemist - I can't see anything mentioned for their Caramel (Original) that causes me concern. Or am I missing something? It clearly states Corn Syrup in the ingredients. shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-6877-caramel-original-flavor.aspxWhen I searched about vaping corn syrup I didn't like what I was reading, but admittedly this can be said about many things. This is why I was just looking for some advice How very peculiar! I'll drop an email to 'em this evening and post back their reply...
