hi all
hope this is not stupid, but after a few months vaping i dont seem to be experiencing the nice taste / flavour from my juices anymore
i started with a CE4 kit and then got an itaste v3.0 with i16 clearomizers, since then i also got a vivi nova and an evod bcc
i remember when i first tried ry4 i thought omg this taste great, but now i dont seem to taste much at all
i do rotate with different flavours, some tobacco, some sweet, some menthol/mint
anyone else experience this or any reason why ?
since giving up stinkies and starting vaping, i do find that i pretty much have a vapour in my hand most all day ( i can vape places where i couldnt smoke before ) so is it that i am vaping too much ?
i still enjoy vaping, no chance of me ever going back to stinkies, but would love to have that nice vape full of flavour experience again that i had initially

No question is stupid, believe me I've asked some worse questions in my time. If you use the same flavours, yes you rotate flavours but if its the same ones then over time your taste buds will get used to them

how long do you leave a flavour before going back to it
i would maybe use a mint or menthol flavour for a full day before going back to one of my favourites but it doesnt seem to make a difference

If you've not been vaping long your taste buds could be changing. Flavours I liked at first I now find I still sometimes really like a flavour or think it's ok only to find a few weeks later I'm not too keen

Have you changed the coils? This should improve the flavour. You can also up the wattage in the itaste, giving you a bigger burst of flavour.
If you've tried both of these, it may be that you are going through a period if "vapers tongue" - where your taste buds just don't respond to any flavours at all. I had it last week, I couldn't taste anything. I vaped a mint juice to get through it, at least I could feel the cooling even if I couldn't get much else. Yesterday it passed, and my banana & custard juice came back to me.
So don't panic - it will come back!

ok, so it might not be a case of having a favourite flavour and being able to stick to it for ever, change is necessary ? so do most of you keep adding new flavours and droping "old favourites"
yes, coils changed and even on new clearomizers the taste just isnt the same as before

This could well be the phenomenon known as vapers tongue, where everything just tastes bleh for a while. If it us then just try to vape through it and the flavour will come back in a few days.
It could also be your taste buds recovering from the cigarettes. I recently sampled a cherry vape that was one of my favourites when I first quit, now it tastes like a vile synthetic mix.
I'd say break out a fresh coil, just to make sure it's not just a dodgy head and maybe get a radically new flavour to give your taste buds something new to experience

Some of my favourites from the first month or so are my least favourite now. Others I didn't remotely like early days are now all day vapes for me. One thing is constant though. Your taste buds change a lot and the only way I've found to get through the vaper's tongue is to stick to mint or menthol for a few days or more when it hits. It's frustrating, but it does pass.

10 days ago I was convinced that for me it's tobacco flavor only - maybe with some menthol - now I am hooked on banana and cherry menthol - so yes tastes changes - in a post ( can't find it now ) I read - don't throw away a flavor - just put it in the drawer and try it later - joose juice has really cheap samples - maybe you want to try a few totally new to you tastes

I had no taste at all for a few weeks a month or so into Vaping.
Tastebuds? That would be my guess.

It's funny this thread should pop up, I just watched a vid the other night of a guy talking about the different things people can experience when they take up vaping full time. He was quite clear that not everyone will experience the exact same thing but that they could and this was one of them. He said that he lost his taste for a bit, everything was just a bit bland but it didn't last to long.
I was interested in the possible short term negative effects of stopping smoking so that if I had any of them I'd know why and not start worrying.

I got that too. I'd read about it beforehand so wasn't too worried. Think it took about a week to wear off properly. As I've got a few clearomizers I just kept swapping them over and that helped a bit (all with different flavour juices).

This has happened to me too and its good to see others have had the same problem. I started vaping about six weeks ago and lost the flavour for a few days recently. Flavour still isn't totally back now. I thought it was because I was using it too much but maybe I too should try some other juices.
There are so many though I wouldn't know where to start!
